“This guy is quite dangerous. We need to be careful now. He might try to harm us from the shadows.”

Just then, a commotion arose not far away. Ron and the girl rushed over immediately, only to see Taiichiro confronting a curse.

"What happened?"

Ron asked loudly, then came to Taiichiro's side.

Taichiro said.

"This guy looks very suspicious. He was sneaking around here, and I saw him eavesdropping on something in front of your door just now, so I immediately came out to stop him. I didn't expect him to attack me."

"The curse roared in anger," he said.

"This is completely fabricated. I was just patrolling around here. I never expected this guy to sneak up and ambush me. If I hadn't reacted quickly, I probably would have been killed by him already."

It was clear that both the curse and Taiichiro were extremely angry, and Ron could sense that their anger was genuine; they must have indeed encountered something.

Ron asked, somewhat surprised.

"What exactly is going on? Why are you all giving conflicting accounts?"

The girl also looked helpless as she spoke.

"This must be that guy's doing; maybe he's the one who orchestrated all of this."

He then led Taiichiro and the cursed man to his door. When Taiichiro and the cursed man saw the words on the door, their expressions changed.

"What... what's going on? We've been here the whole time, but why didn't we see anyone come here?"

Then Taiichiro looked at the curse.

"Only he, only he, came here, and he was looking this way suspiciously. I think it was him who did it."

The curse was quickly denied.

"Innocent, absolutely innocent! I've always been around here, and I've never been to this door before. I don't recognize these characters, and our handwriting is completely different. If I really did it, in such a tense situation, it would be impossible for me to be able to imitate other handwriting?"

At this point, he casually drew a few words on the ground, showing that they were indeed very different.

Ron said.

"Since the other party is so strange, we must prepare in advance."

They then planted many spies in the area and set up numerous traps, so that anyone who tried to enter would be harmed by them.

After doing all this, the girl said with a worried expression.

"I don't know if these things will work. The other party is too unpredictable. These things may not be able to stop him at all."

Ron nodded. His senses were already quite sharp, and he could definitely detect anyone who was near him, but he hadn't noticed their presence the previous few times.

This means that the opponent's abilities are completely able to evade Ron's sensory-level abilities, which is quite terrifying. Ron knows that he may have encountered an unprecedentedly difficult opponent this time.

26, bandits

Ron's expression changed drastically. He could sense the killing intent flashing in the eyes of those men, indicating that they had already been taken prisoner.

The leader, a man draped in animal skins, approached Ron and spoke loudly.

Why have you come here?

Ron had already furrowed his brow.

"That's the question I should be asking you: Who are you? Why are you tied up here?"

After he finished speaking, he looked around. Apart from the few people wearing animal skins, there was no one else present.

Ron felt a chill run down his spine. He didn't know what the other party's intentions were, but he could sense that there was an eerie atmosphere emanating from the surroundings.

The man walked up to Ron, and was about to kick him when Ron suddenly spoke.

"If you want to hurt us, you'd better watch out. Although I'm tied up here, I'll break free soon, and then you'll be sorry."

The man glared at Ron and said with a smile.

"You think you can fight us?"

As he said this, he had already stomped down, but at that moment, Ron suddenly tilted his body to avoid the attack, and then pressed his entire body down on the other's foot.

The man had no idea Ron had this trick up his sleeve. He didn't have time to react, and in that instant, Ron crushed his leg.

The man screamed in agony, and roared loudly.

"How dare that brat hurt me! Everyone, attack him and kill them!"

But the group of people didn't rush over immediately; they looked helplessly at the person lying on the ground groaning in pain.

"I already told you not to make any rash moves. These guys are our spoils of war, which we just robbed. If you kill them, where will we get our money?"

At this point, he stepped forward and helped the man back. The man's leg was completely broken. The power that Ron had unleashed just now had secretly shocked him. Fortunately, Ron was tied up tightly, otherwise, the people here might not have been a match for him.

The man pointed to his broken leg and shouted.

"This kid broke my leg, how are we going to settle this score? Are we just going to let them get away with this?"

Ron looked at the man and said.

"If you hadn't wanted to attack me, I wouldn't have broken your leg. But breaking your leg is just a small punishment. If you really dare to do anything to us, it might not be as simple as breaking your leg."

The man glared at Ron and said.

"Then I'll kill both of you right now and see how you can resist now that you're tied up here."

Another person spoke loudly.

"Enough, stop fooling around. The situation is extremely urgent. We have to deal with them as soon as possible. I heard that person has been waiting outside for a long time. Don't make him wait too long, or he will definitely get impatient."

After saying that, they were about to step forward and grab Ron.

Ron asked, his brow furrowed.

Where are you taking us?

the man said.

"Someone wanted to kill you, but we brothers were fortunate enough to take on the task. We didn't expect to drug you so quickly; it seems this money is really easy to make."

Ron didn't want to get into trouble. He knew he was in a bad situation, and judging from the expressions on these men's faces, they were probably professional kidnappers.

Moreover, the person hiding in the shadows had not yet appeared, and Ron could not detect any trace of them. He was very anxious, so he shouted loudly.

"How much money did they give you? I'm willing to pay double if you release us, then the money is yours."

the man said.

"Although we want to make money, we can't go back on our word once we've made a promise. We have professional ethics. This time, we can only send you to our sugar daddy first."

They then shoved and jostled Ron to a very secluded corner. The group looked around, and one of them said...

"What happened? Why isn't he here?"

The other person also looked around in surprise. They indeed found no trace of the sugar daddy. Ron then said.

"Presumably, the other party has already gone back on their word. Since they have stood you up, you should now make this deal with me. The price I offer will definitely not be lower than theirs."

Ron hoped to use this as a breakthrough to learn about the person who wanted to harm him; perhaps that person was the one hiding in the shadows.

They all looked at Ron, furious because the man hadn't actually shown up, but they didn't trust him and wouldn't make a deal with him like that.

Just then, Ron smelled a faint scent of blood, which surprised him. In this environment, the smell of blood was far too strong.

He looked around but saw no bloodstains, which meant the smell of blood must be from a great distance. But the fact that it could travel from such a distance made Ron feel uneasy.

But Ron didn't show any expression; he just said calmly.

"I advise you to leave here quickly; it doesn't seem safe here."

the man said.

"Don't listen to this kid's nonsense. Let's wait here for a bit. The big spender will surely show up."

The others nodded; at least this deal was very important to them, as it could potentially bring them a large sum of money.

As time went on, Ron felt the smell of blood growing stronger, and he could sense a very strange energy slowly gathering not far away.

Ron frowned deeply, sensing that the other party was up to no good, and said.

"We need to get out of here right away; it's very dangerous."

Those men didn't take Ron's words seriously at all; they just stared at him.

"If you keep trying to be clever like this, don't be rude to us."

The girl next to him suddenly spoke.

"Didn't you smell a very strong stench of blood?"

After she said that, the group of people sniffed hard, and one of them said.

"There does smell of blood. What's going on? Third brother, go and take a look."

The person called the third brother immediately went over.

Ron looked at him nervously. He could feel the energy slowly being released, and it was clear that if he went over rashly, he would likely be attacked by that energy.

Ron said.
