Chapter 473 Not Sailing Together

Chapter 473 Not Sailing Together

"What is this?" Lucci quickly removed the poster from Ace's face before it was burned away by Ace's flames.

"Straw Hat Luffy is recruiting crew members?" Lucci and Ace exchanged a puzzled look.

"Luffy wants to recruit crew members?" Ace asked, puzzled.

“Idiot, this is obviously fake.” Lucci said speechlessly, handing the poster to Ace. “Burn it.”

Ace casually burned the poster Lucci handed him, then said with dissatisfaction, "How dare someone use Luffy's name to swindle and deceive people."

"You can go check it out if you're bored," Lucci said casually. "I'm going to buy some things, and we'll meet up after Luffy and Sabo arrive on the island."

Ace didn't say anything, turned around and went in another direction. He wanted to see which bastard dared to impersonate his precious younger brother.

……

After reuniting with Usopp and taking care of the annoying guy in the tavern with lightning, Nami and Usopp started buying supplies for their journey to the New World, with Usopp picking out his tools at a nearby shop.

Nami... had nothing to do for the time being, so she went into the clothing store across the street to pick out clothes and try on each one. This made the store owner, who thought a big customer had arrived, praise her repeatedly, and countless compliments came out of his mouth.

Looking at the large pile of clothes on the counter, the shop owner asked with a bright smile, "Miss, are you buying all of these?"

"No need, I don't need it," Nami said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, the shop owner instantly collapsed to the ground.

Nami ignored the dejected shopkeeper and walked straight to the door. All the clothes she tried on in the store were beautiful, but mainly because she was already radiant, she wanted something simpler.

So she turned to look for another store, and then she noticed a familiar figure in front of her. Looking at the familiar blonde hair, Nami recognized it almost immediately.

She remembered the decision they made before they separated. Nami immediately followed. Since Lucci was here, Luffy should have arrived at Sabaody by now. Nami smiled. She couldn't wait to see Luffy and make sure he was really alright. Although the restoration of the Vivre Paper told her everything, she still wanted to confirm it with her own eyes.

At this moment, Nami noticed Lucci walking into a shop selling permanent Log Pose. Why was Lucci buying this? Nami was a little puzzled, but she still followed him to say hello.

"This pointer marks an island called Liuli, which is said to be made of all kinds of glass. The most famous thing about this island is a mysterious legend. Couples who pass the test of the Liuli Guardian can receive a bracelet blessed by the Liuli Guardian. It is said that the bracelet can sense the location of the other person and summon them no matter how far away they are."

"That sounds interesting, the entire island is made of glass?"

"Please don't make things difficult for me, sir. I'm just a small shop owner and I've never been there before." The shop owner said with a smile, "I heard about this from the person who sold it to me. It must be a great tourist destination."

Are there any other rather strange islands in the New World?

"There's more!" The shop owner immediately started rummaging under the counter. "I received a few a few days ago, this one is..."

"Lucci?"

Lucci turned his head towards the direction of the sound, and looked at the woman with long, refreshing orange hair standing at the door. Lucci paused for a few seconds before recognizing her, and exclaimed in surprise, "Nami?"

"It really is you, Lucci!" Nami excitedly stepped forward and gave him a hug. "Long time no see! You've gotten even more handsome!"

"Yes, thank you." Lucci smiled and pulled away. "Have you all arrived on the island?"

"We still have some crew members who haven't arrived yet, but they should all be here today," Nami said with a smile, excited to see her other crew members soon. "Where's Luffy? You must have come with Luffy, right?"

"No, I came with Ace. Luffy shouldn't be here yet, but he'll be soon," Lucci explained.

"Really? Is he alright?" Nami asked Lucci, feeling a little nervous. She didn't know what Luffy's brother thought about them not being by Luffy's side back then.

She could understand if he was angry with them, after all, they let Luffy go to Impel Down alone, even though Luffy did it to save his brother. As his crewmates, none of them were there for Luffy during his most difficult time.

"Well, it wasn't like this at first, but now he's doing well and has become very strong," Lucci said with a smile, turning the permanent record pointer on his hand.

“We are…” Nami’s eyes were filled with sadness, realizing that Lucci might be somewhat disappointed in them.

“No, you don’t need to tell me all this.” Lucci smiled and interrupted Nami. “It’s enough that he’s fine now. I believe you all have the strength to protect him and fight alongside him.”

"So I'll still have to trouble you to continue taking care of him for me." Lucci grinned. "I believe you won't let him down again."

“Of course! We will absolutely not let what happened two years ago happen again,” Nami said, her eyes shining with determination.

“That’s enough, isn’t it?” Lucci laughed.

Nami noticed Lucci's choice of words, looked at the Log Pole in his hand, and asked hesitantly, "Lucci, aren't you planning to sail with us?"

“Yes, I want to sail on my own,” Lucci said with a grin.

"But didn't you already agree to Luffy's request?" Nami asked anxiously, knowing how much Luffy wanted Lucci to join him and sail with him.

“That was two years ago, back when I hadn’t regained my memories. After thinking it over, I felt I would prefer to sail on my own,” Lucci explained. “Mainly, I wanted to try something new.”

“Take this island, for example. This island sounds very interesting,” Lucci said, showing the permanent pointer in his hand. “And your voyages are all on routes. I might prefer a freer voyage.”

Nami looked at Lucci, who was looking serious, and suddenly didn't know what to say, because she could tell that Lucci was serious and he really didn't intend to sail with them.

Lucci suddenly laughed, then said goodbye to her, "I'm leaving now, Nami."

Nami was still a little dazed as she watched Lucci's departing figure. Finally, she patted her forehead. The fact that Lucci could tell her this so calmly meant that Luffy knew about it and had agreed to it.

But Luffy shouldn't give up. She knows Luffy's dedication to his crew, especially since this is someone he's always wanted, and he's already successfully invited him. She doesn't think Luffy would give up.

Nami thought about it for a moment and finally decided to confirm the news with Luffy when they met. Right now, she needed to find Usopp, who was shopping at another store.
