Chapter 318 - 317: Ten vs two (2)

(Host, there are still five individual souls. All you have to do is use the Devouring Origin to battle him—slowly split his souls and devour them. The more souls you devour, the weaker Carnitl becomes… until you can finally kill him.)Hearing the system's words, Void grinned. Not a smile. Not amusement but pure Madness.

His lips stretched wide, teeth bared, crimson eyes burning as if something inside him had finally clicked into place his pores opened as he took a battle stance. Nameless swung over his head as his crimson eyes shimmer in the darkness.

"So that's it…" Void muttered softly.

"…five souls."His aura changed as it was released widely.

It no longer roared outward violently, it sank inward, compressing, condensing, becoming sharp and suffocating. The sixth layer of space groaned under the pressure as if reality itself realized it had made a mistake by allowing this demon to exist.

Carnitl narrowed his many eyes.

"You finally understand," the angel said calmly, his ten arms spreading slightly. "But understanding does not mean victory."

Void laughed. It was a deep, unhinged laugh that echoed across dimensions.

"Victory?" Void repeated. "No… this was never about victory."His body trembled but of course not from fear but from pure unrestrained excitement.

"Death."

"Darkness."

"Devouring."

"Oblivion."

"…and Creation."

Five Origins ignited simultaneously.

The space behind Void collapsed into nothingness, while the space before him was forcibly rewritten just to endure his presence. His Primordial Demon Body flared, scales glowing as every cell awakened fully, each one screaming for blood, for consumption, for evolution for devouring

Carnitl moved first as his ten arms struck, each attack was in synchronization not sequentiallyor rhythmically but perfectly synchronized, each attack filling the blind spot of the next, a flawless storm of divine judgment meant to erase Void entirely.

Void didn't retreat because of this but stepped forward craving for this.

CLANG—

SHATTER—

BOOOOM!

Nameless met the weapons head-on as Void twisted his body unnaturally, Darkness swallowing half the attacks while Creation forcibly generated new spatial anchors for him to pivot from. Their speed far beyond anything known, countless timelines being formed by them. Endless possibilities neing generated as universes screamed as their time laws were being tempered with.

Even deep in the immortal world, countless terrifying immortals gaze upon the rive of time in fear. It was like a small spring between two colossal beings colliding.

Blood sprayed.

Golden

Crimson.

All mixed together as it radiated a terrifying aura. This very blood could turn any low level creatures into a divine one with terrifying potential.

Void's arm was severed—only to regenerate instantly, Darkness stitching it back together while Death reinforced the flesh.

Carnitl lost two arms as they regenerated as well.

Void's tail pierced Carnitl's chest—only to be ripped apart by a spear.

Both were regenerating.

Both were adapting.

But something was different now.

Void reached out—not physically, but existentially.

Devouring Origin surged.

Carnitl froze.

For the first time… his expression changed.

Not fear.

Shock.

"You—" Carnitl's voice cracked slightly as Void's hand closed around empty space.

And pulled.

A scream echoed—not from Carnitl's body—

But from within him.

One soul was torn loose.

A glowing fragment of angelic existence writhed in Void's grasp, struggling violently.

Carnitl staggered, His aura dipped just slightly.

Void's eyes widened.

"Oh?" Void chuckled. "So it works."

Without hesitation , void opened his large mouth as he devoured it.

The soul dissolved into Void's body, flooding him with foreign memories, divine laws, battle instincts refined over countless wars.

Void roared, His power spiking as it doubled, quadruple ..

Carnitl's wings trembled.

"Monster…" Carnitl muttered, gripping his chest.,

How did he figure it out ? What type of demon is this ..., carnitl thought his mind shaken.

Void didn't give him time.

The battle exploded anew.

Darkness erased weapons mid-swing.

Creation forged space blades and pressure points.

Death rotted divine constructs.

Oblivion erased failed realities entirely.

Carnitl fought back desperately now—not calmly, not indifferently but more with urgency, since void saw it worked he wilk definitely target his souls. He had to block it off completely and thr only way to do that is by killing void.

Two more souls were torn out in brutal succession. Each devouring made Void stronger as each loss made Carnitl slower, weaker. His movements lost perfection as it became unrefined . His once perfect synchronization faltered.

"Why…" Carnitl gasped, blocking desperately with only six arms now. "Why must it always end like this?!"

Void drove Nameless through Carnitl's shoulder, pinning him briefly as Devouring Origin tore at another soul.

A fourth scream echoed.

Carnitl fell to one knee.

His regeneration slowed.

Blood, angelic blood dripped endlessly.

"Why must angels and demons kill each other endlessly?" Carnitl shouted, his voice breaking. "Why must existence be soaked in war?!"

Void paused just for a moment as carnitl laughed weakly, tears streamed down his face, real tears each filled with divine brilliance and a proof of an emotion angels were never meant to possess.

"I'm tired…" Carnitl whispered. "Tired of fighting. Tired of being summoned. Tired of erasing and being erased."

His voice trembled.

"Maybe it's because I split my souls… or maybe because I've lived too long."

He looked at Void, not as an enemy

But as a possibility maybe even a hope.

"Void… your name is in the Book of Life and Death," Carnitl said softly. "You will rise. I know it."

Void said nothing.

"Promise me," Carnitl begged, tears falling freely now. "Promise me you'll end this… this endless war between races."

Void stared at him then he laughed wildly. A loud, mocking laugh that echoed mercilessly.

"I'm no hero," Void said coldly. "Why would I stop it?"

Carnitl smiled, a genuine smile.

"Yes…" he chuckled weakly. "You are a demon after all."

He coughed, golden blood spilling from his lips.

"But since your name is in the Book of Life and Death… you'll be hunted endlessly. Angels, gods, races beyond count—they will come to kill you."

Void leaned closer, his eyes burned with excitement.

"Let them come."

Carnitl closed his eyes.

"Then perhaps…" he whispered, "…you truly are the one who will reach the end."

Void raised his hand.

Oblivion Origin surged.

"No more war," Carnitl murmured faintly.

And then, he was erased, not killed not devoured but gone.

Oblivion consumed Carnitl completely, body, soul, laws, existence leaving behind nothing. No trace. No afterlife. No rebirth.

Silence followed.

The sixth layer of space stabilized slowly, as if terrified.

Void stood alone as power rolled off him in endless waves, five souls gone consumed by yours truly . Void could feel the improvement in his power even the tiniest one at this realm meant a huge difference.

Void exhaled slowly.

"…Tch."

He looked at where Carnitl once stood.

"Rest," Void muttered quietly.

Then he grinned.

"And whoever comes next…"

"…I'll devour you too..." void said his eyes locking back to where he felt that terrifying angels eyes.

****

Across at heaven.

The angel eyes slowly lowered as he saw the death of carnitl.

" strong enough to make this a warmup".., the angel muttered as he stood.
