Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 321 - 320: Shen Ye vs Void (2)

Chapter 321 - 320: Shen Ye vs Void (2)

"Let's begin then…" Void moved, Nameless groaned as it's four holed opened as the origin of fire was wrapped around it.There was no roar, no declaration, no dramatic wind-up. The moment the words left his mouth, space behind him collapsed inward as if reality itself had been dragged forward by his will. Darkness folded, Death layered atop it, Devouring coiled between both, Creation shaping the structure while Oblivion erased the excess. Five Origins merged into a single, seamless motion.

His fist came forward.

Not fast.

Not slow.

It simply arrived.

The pressure alone shattered the sixth layer of space, cracks racing outward like veins across glass. Entire star clusters in the lower layers imploded from the backlash, their matter crushed into nothing before sound could even exist.

Shen Ye didn't move.

Void's fist stopped.

Exactly one Mythological Unit from Shen Ye's face.

Again.

The same invisible wall. The same absolute denial. Void's knuckles trembled, not from pain, but from resistance so complete it felt like existence itself had rejected him. His arm vibrated as if grinding against an unbreakable law.

(Host, probability of landing an effective strike remains 0.001%. Retreat is advised.)

Void didn't answer.

He twisted.

His body contorted mid-motion, muscles overlapping unnaturally as his Primordial Demon Body restructured itself in real time. The first attack hadn't worked. That information was already discarded. Darkness inverted, Death sharpened, Devouring spread outward instead of forward. The battlefield itself screamed as Void altered his vector, his second strike not aimed at Shen Ye, but at the space around him.

The void collapsed.

Reality bent inward, forming a spiraling annihilation field designed to consume the concept of distance itself.

Shen Ye's defense erased it.

Not blocked.

Not resisted.

Erased.

Void's eyes narrowed.

So it wasn't directional, Fine.

He changed again.

His body split into afterimages, not illusions, but overlapping existences layered through fractured time. Space shuddered as Void attacked from seven angles simultaneously, each strike carrying a different Origin dominance ratio. One focused on Devouring, another on Oblivion, another on pure Death, each one testing a different aspect of Shen Ye's passive defense.

All seven stopped, all seven were simply denied.

( Host, continued engagement will result in total annihilation.)

Void ignored it.

His mind wasn't screaming anymore. It was calculating.

The familiarity crawled up his spine, cold and unmistakable. The same feeling he'd felt against the angel earlier. That unreachable wall. That gap that wasn't power but qualification.

But something was different.

His body wasn't rejecting the strain.

It was… learning.

Void exhaled slowly as he retreated half a step, then surged forward again. This time, his power output spiked beyond its previous limit. Not recklessly. Precisely.

100% → 101%.

His muscles swelled, blood leaking from his skin before immediately regenerating. Space buckled harder this time, the sixth layer groaning as fractures widened into abyssal scars.

Shen Ye's eyes flickered.

Barely.

Void noticed.

So you felt that.

He didn't speak. He attacked again.

This time, he didn't aim to break through.

He aimed to stress.

Attack after attack followed, each one different from the last. Void abandoned repetition entirely, abandoning efficiency in favor of variability. His movements became erratic, unpredictable, his Origins blending and separating in constantly shifting ratios. Devouring wrapped around Death, Creation reinforced Oblivion, Darkness threaded through all of it, not as power, but as deception.

(Host, power output exceedinng the limit of his body. If this continues, host body may collapse .)

Void pushed harder.

102%.

103%.

105%.

His Primordial Demon Body screamed as tendrils of Origin lashed outward uncontrollably, the battlefield deforming under the sheer strain. Entire universes in the lower layers shuddered, their fundamental constants destabilizing. Civilizations vanished without ever knowing why.

Shen Ye watched.

He hadn't moved.

Not once.

"You're persistent," Shen Ye said calmly, his voice carrying no strain. "But pointless."

Void didn't respond.

He attacked again.

110%.

This time, Shen Ye took a step forward.

Just one.

The pressure detonated.

Void was blasted backward like a meteor, his body folding in on itself as space compressed around him. Bones shattered. Organs ruptured. Blood sprayed outward then reversed, snapping back as his regeneration kicked in violently. His body slammed through three fractured spatial layers before stabilizing, his feet carving trenches through nothingness.

He straightened slowly.

Blood dripped from his mouth.

Then stopped.

Void looked up, eyes burning.

So when you move… your defense shifts, not disappears but shifts, interesting.

He laughed softly, breath ragged.

"Good," he muttered internally. That means it's not absolute.

Shen Ye frowned slightly.

Void attacked again.

This time, he didn't increase power.

He refined it.

His movements became tighter, cleaner. Less wasted motion. His Origins aligned more cleanly, his body no longer fighting itself. Where before his power had surged chaotically, now it condensed.

1000%.

The space between them screamed.

Void struck.

Shen Ye raised his hand.

For the first time.

The instant he did, his passive defense flickered.

Just for a fraction of a fraction of a moment.

Void was waiting.

He detonated everything.

Death surged, Devouring collapsed inward, Oblivion erased resistance, Creation reinforced the strike's structure, Darkness masked the timing. His fist landed not against Shen Ye's defense, but through the gap left by his movement.

The sixth layer of space cracked violently.

The shockwave didn't stop there.

Lower layers ruptured as the force cascaded downward. Galaxies were shredded. Universes folded inward. Entire multiversal branches destabilized, their timelines collapsing into static as the impact propagated outward.

Even the first layer trembled.

Void and Shen Ye reappeared at the epicenter.

Void was panting, blood dripping freely now as his body struggled to keep up.

Shen Ye stood still.

A thin line marked his shoulder.

A cut.

No blood flowed.

But the skin was split.

Silence fell.

Void stared.

His grin widened slowly, painfully.

"I knew it," he breathed. "You can be touched."

Shen Ye looked down at the cut, then back at Void.

The air shifted between them but it was not violently but dangerously.

Void felt it immediately. The change wasn't power. It was intent.

Memories surfaced unbidden in Shen Ye's mind.

A demon standing above him.

A ruined world.

Laughter.

Arrogance.

Mercy disguised as indifference.

Shen Ye's hand clenched, his sister Anya voice rang. That pain , those cries, that terrified expression of dread mixed with those eyes that longed for hope.

For shen ye

For a hero

For the first time since the battle began, emotion surfaced.

"You should have killed me then," Shen Ye said quietly.

Void straightened, blood still dripping as his body regenerated sluggishly now. His power output had stabilized way higher than before, denser and more controlled.

"Maybe," Void replied, voice rough. "But then you wouldn't be standing here, this strong, this challenging, this fascinating."

Shen Ye took another step forward but Void didn't retreat, his eyes burned brighter.

"So that's it," Void continued. "Your defense isn't invincible. It's passive. Automatic. But the moment you act… it opens."

Shen Ye's gaze sharpened.

Void laughed softly, dark and satisfied.

"You gods love pretending you're untouchable," he said. "Turns out you're just lazy."

Shen Ye raised his scythe.

The battlefield trembled.

Void tightened his stance, every muscle coiling as his Origins surged once more, no longer wild, no longer desperate.

Focused.

He was injured.

Outmatched.

Facing a true Rank 4 being.

And yet

He grinned.

"Let's find out," Void said quietly, "how much a god bleeds."

The space between them collapsed.

And the real battle began.
