Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 340 - 339: Revenge

Chapter 340 - 339: Revenge

"The truth of the matter is that everyone has to walk their own path, even if it means breaking friendships along the way," Void muttered as Mark listened carefully. The two, both at Quasi Rank 4, didn't immediately leave the Omniverse. Instead, they traveled toward a section that was about to close.

It was a pathway leading to a universe outside the Omniverse.

"I know. Sadly, Kira doesn't," Mark said as they slowly came to a stop. "Actually, the reason she didn't want me to leave wasn't just friendship. I know she loves me."

Ahead of them was a terrifying entrance. Swirling laws collided violently, shattering time and space itself.

If a being below Rank 3 were to come here without proper preparation and protection, they would be instantly disintegrated.

"Love…" Void muttered. The word felt foreign to him. In this demon form, he had never once fallen in love. Perhaps back when he was still human, he had experienced fleeting crushes, but that was all.

"I can't understand what love is, or how important it is to you people," Void said as he shook his head.

"Don't be shocked just yet. You'll become like me too. As a demon, you won't be able to understand or feel certain emotions. Think of it as the price or sacrifice required to create a being of destruction," Void said.

Mark felt lost.

"Is that so?" Mark laughed.

"It is. Also, you are an Aeron half demon and half god," Void said.

Mark immediately asked, "Wait… is that the name given to beings that are half god and half demon?"

"Close, but not exactly," Void replied. "Aeron refers to beings with fifty percent demon bloodline and fifty percent of their original bloodline."

Mark pondered before asking again, "But the blood I took… I felt it. It could have swallowed my bloodline whole. Why didn't it?"

Void grinned.

"It won't. Primordial Demon Blood doesn't erase your bloodline. It upgrades it, then infuses demonic essence into it. In simple terms, it elevates your life level and links you to demon-kind."

Mark nodded.

"System."

Void briefly glanced at Mark's stats and nodded.

Not bad at all.

"Why are we here?" Mark asked as he looked at the glowing portal.

Of course, he already knew what it was, a gateway to a universe. But it was a low-level universe, not worth the attention of beings like him.

After all, there were only Rank 3 beings there at best.

"Well… my clone is on the other side," Void muttered.

Mark's eyes widened.

Void has a clone… and it's there?

Wait.

"Don't tell me that terrifying Rank 3 being that chased our troops back was your clone?" Mark thought, stunned.

The Omniverse and other existences drifted within the Void.

At times, they collided with universes and multi-universes, triggering wars. That was one way worlds evolved and grew.

Years ago, the Omniverse had collided with a low-level universe. To the Omniverse, it was insignificant, but to Rank 2 beings, it was a treasure trove of resources.

At first, the universe had no Rank 3 beings, which delighted the Rank 2 invaders. But suddenly, A Rank 3 being emerged from the natives.

He slaughtered the Rank 2 forces and began closing the portal.

To Rank 3 beings, it wasn't important.

But now, that Rank 3 being was likely Void's clone.

So… it seems they were here to help.

"Let's just say I want to help him close this portal," Void said with a grin.

Mark understood immediately.

Although Void's clone was closing the rift, it wasn't easy. For a Rank 3 being, closing a rift between a universe and the outermost layer of the Omniverse was nearly impossible.

Breaking it was impossible.

Closing it, while achievable, required immense effort.

"All right, Master. I'll do it," Mark said as he bowed respectfully.

Void chuckled.

"Good. Go on," Void said, impressed.

He had expected Mark to bargain, since Void usually spoke casually with him. But Mark accepted being his slave without hesitation.

Before Void could say anything more, Mark had already moved.

He stretched out a finger and touched the portal, one that would vaporize any being below Rank 3. It didn't affect him at all.

The moment he touched it, space trembled. The laws stabilized, and the portal began to heal.

Mark looked back.

"I saw him," Mark said.

Void nodded.

"I noticed."

---

On the Other Side of the Portal

A being standing one thousand mythological unit tall was using his bare hands to close a terrifying rift.

Behind him floated a marble-like sphere glittering in space, the universe itself, connected to the Omniverse through the portal.

At first, the rift had spanned thousands of mythological units. Now, it had been reduced to only a few dozen.

"Just one more mythological year…" Abornim gasped.

After hundreds of thousands of mythological years, Abornim had changed.

It all began when they went to rescue Rose and Kratos.

Abornim had always known they couldn't defeat the beings on the other side of the portal.

But he needed their trust.

One thing led to another, and war broke out.

The entire universe united. The Norse gods—Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, and their descendants stood at the forefront.

Kratos, Thor, and the others followed.

Yet no matter how powerful they were, the beings beyond the portal crushed them.

The first war ended in utter defeat. Many gods were severely injured, and weaker ones were killed outright.

But Abornim noticed something.

Someone was watching.

He didn't investigate at first. But during the second war, the gods had grown much stronger and managed to force a draw.

That's when Abornim realized something was wrong.

By the third war, a terrifying existence descended to assist them.

And with its descent, the secrets were revealed and it was known to all.

He was a child of a powerful race.

"Creators."

They were beings capable of creating worlds, universes, even Omniverses. The mysterious being who descended during the third war was a Creator.

But when he descended, the other side responded bringing forth a being just as strong, if not stronger.

In the end, the Creator risked everything to protect this universe and fell into a deep slumber.

Abornim felt the laws relax.

The rules were broken.

He was free.

And with that freedom, Abornim slaughtered all the injured gods left behind after the third war.

He seized control of the universe and devoured every living being within it.

When the Creator finally awakened and returned, everything was gone.

Kratos.

Zeus.

Rose.

All devoured by Abornim.

In fury, the Creator cursed Abornim binding him eternally to the war rift.

Although Abornim possessed power comparable to a Creator, he was marked as a native of the universe. Because of that mark, he remained beneath the Creator's authority.

And so…

Here he was, closing the rift.

"Fuck…" Abornim muttered, his eyes bloodshot.

How could a demon be limited to this?

Hatred boiled within him. Once he broke free, he would kill the Creator.

Just then, Abornim felt every cell in his body tremble.

An ancient, primordial fear seized him as he saw it

A finger descending from above, so vast it had no visible end.

Abornim froze in terror.

He couldn't comprehend the existence behind that finger. All he knew was that if it touched him, he would die, erased from existence itself.

But instead of killing him, the finger repaired the rift.

"…It's done?" Abornim whispered, staring at the sealed space as he spoke to no one.

Joy nearly filled his eyes.

Hundreds of thousands of years of effort, enduring devastating laws, relentless attacks, and unbearable torment were finally over.

It had never been easy. But the thought of killing the Creator had driven him to endure.

And now…

It was finished.

Revenge could finally begin.

But then, he sensed two familiar auras.

One demonic.

The other..his main body.

"It seems Void helped me," Abornim said with a grin.

"Void… you know what happened, don't you?" Abornim shouted into the void of space.

"Can you open a path to that world? I need to repay someone."

On the other side, just as Void and Mark were about to leave, a thunderous voice echoed.

Void turned back.

"Oh," Void muttered, smiling.

"Sure but you only have ten seconds. Exceed that, and you'll be destroyed," Void said.

On the opposite side, Abornim laughed.

"That's more than enough."

"Good," Void replied as he released his aura.

Space trembled violently.

A terrifying rift tore open, stretching endlessly into infinity.

Void's body cracked as blood seeped from him.

Mark stood frozen.

As a Quasi Rank 4 being, he understood what Void was doing.

And that…

Booom

"Now!" Void groaned as blood streamed from his eyes.

Abornim seized the chance and stepped through.

"You will pay," Abornim muttered, his gaze locked onto the path ahead.
