Chapter 32: Chapter 32 Playing a Role
Lin Xian walked towards the west side of the square, where CC’s refresh point was located.
It wasn’t long before Lin Xian found his target—
A woman wearing a black bodysuit underneath, draped in a plaid trench coat, with dark brown hair tied up high, and an Ultraman mask covering her face.
It was CC.
When Lin Xian had seen CC at the bank vault before, she had only been wearing a black bodysuit, just like a spy.
Presumably, she had also felt that her spy outfit was too conspicuous, so she had worn a long trench coat over it to blend in with the crowd in the square.
...
CC’s long hair, twisted up at the back of her head, was bound with a red ribbon. Round and full, it looked like she had an enviable amount of hair.
But the reality was... there was a gun hidden inside.
CC had a total of two guns on her.
One around her waist, and another hidden in her pinned-up hair.
“Truly a dangerous woman.”
As Lin Xian walked towards CC, he scrutinized the details of her figure.
Slim, very thin, with a height of around 165 centimeters.
Very strange...
Not a trace of familiarity, not a single impression.
Had he truly seen this person before?
The feeling was paradoxical.
He was certain that he had heard CC’s voice in reality before.
But it was hard to imagine that a girl with a figure as exquisite as a model’s, if he had truly seen her, wouldn’t have left any impression on him at all.
“Forget it, don’t think too much about it.”
Lin Xian walked straight towards CC.
Be it human or ghost, goblin or demon, her mask would soon come off and reveal all!
“Hey.”
Lin Xian greeted CC from behind her, watching her as she turned around:
“Code Expert?”
CC looked Lin Xian up and down, not saying a word.
After a long while, she finally nodded slightly, “How should I address you?”
Lin Xian smiled faintly:
“In the underworld, they all call me Big Face Cat, so you can just call me Brother Lian.”
Having said that, he pointed to the van by the side of the road:
“The car is over there, follow me.”
Then he turned and walked back—
Smack!
A delicate hand firmly pressed on Lin Xian’s shoulder, stopping him in his tracks.
“You’re called Big Face Cat?”
“Yes.” Lin Xian didn’t turn around.
“Everyone in the underworld calls you Big Face Cat?”
“That’s right.”
CC stared intently at Lin Xian:
“But your face isn’t big at all, so why would others call you Big Face Cat?”
...
...
A hot summer breeze blew past, lifting the red ribbon on CC’s head and a corner of her trench coat.
Neither of them spoke.
But the atmosphere grew even more tense.
But after three or four cycles of exploration... he had mastered every detail of the incident.
With such a vast information gap, he could outmaneuver anyone.
The situation that had just occurred was indeed a bit different from what Lin Xian had planned; he hadn’t expected CC to suspect right away that he wasn’t Big Face Cat.
But this was of no great significance.
After his manipulations, not only had he bluffed his way through, but he had also obtained the critical tool he needed most—
A gun.
Without a gun, he really had no idea how to get past the three underlings.
...
Along the way, the two of them did not exchange a single word.
Ultraman and Rhein Cat maintained a steady gaze straight ahead...
It was anyone’s guess what the passersby thought of the odd-looking van.
Soon, they arrived at their destination.
Lin Xian pulled out the pistol at his waist and signaled CC to get out:
“Follow me, and bring your computer.”
After getting out of the car.
Lin Xian and CC hurried towards the bank entrance.
A young man in black was fiddling with something at the entrance. He looked up at Lin Xian, his face confused:
“You—”
Bang!!
A bullet hit him right between the eyes! Blood splattered against the wall!
“Nice shooting,” CC said admiringly.
She had watched closely; drawing and firing the gun was completed in just a flash, without any aiming motion.
It was something many people could do if it was just about hitting a target.
But this was a headshot, right between the eyes, without any superfluous aiming...
Only a sharpshooter could be described that way.
“But why did you kill your underling?” CC asked.
Lin Xian pushed the door and entered the bank:
“His hands weren’t clean; such people can’t be kept around.”
As they reached a corner.
A masked man stood up in shock, pointing at Lin Xian: “You—”
Bang!!
Another instantaneous headshot, on the mark!
“And why kill this one?”
“He hit on the boss’s wife, what do you think?”
CC looked at Lin Xian in shock:
“He, he cuckolded you?”
“Uh... ah, we have a mutual boss above us, I was talking about that boss’s wife.”
They continued forward, and a shadow rushed up from the underground passage—
Bang!!
CC couldn’t help but step back...
He was able to headshot someone who was running so fast, in such dark conditions, and without even aiming!
She touched the pistol and followed Lin Xian:
“How did you train to shoot like this?”
“Nothing special, just practice.”
Lin Xian pointed to the all-black wall ahead, with a silver vault door in the middle:
“It’s your turn now, Code Expert.”
