1132 Chapter 1132

Seeing Lyra intimidating his mistress, Petros spoke up to try and clam down the situation.

"Dame Jadzi-, I mean, Your Grace. Would you please follow us to our home? This is not a good place for this conversation."

Petros and the Lamia standing next to him looked visibly uncomfortable as the eyes of every individual currently in the hotel's lobby were trained on them.

"Very well. Lead us to your abode." Lyra responded with an air of authority. @@@@

Marcus had to hold in a few chuckles seeing her act this way. The initial shock had already worn off and now he was finding the change from her usually relaxed demeanor to be quite amusing.

Of course, Lyra's hones senses allowed her to feel Marcus' smile and barely contain his laughter.

With a quick glare that might have given someone of a lower level a heart attack, she made sure to get across to him not to break the dignified impression she had made.

After that the four of them exited the building and headed towards the dwelling where Petros and the Lamia that owned him lived.

From the outside it was clear to see that the place was sizable.

Szusha began crying as she remembered the state Petros had once been in. After all these years Lyra had come back claiming to care so deeply about his wellbeing, acting all high and mighty. Yet she had not been there when he needed her most.

Having one of her greatest failures thrown back in her face, Lyra could not help but look down with a pained look on her face.

It was true that she had failed Petros that day. Along with many others that had died.

"Szusha, please don't be so harsh on her. It's a miracle that I survived. Had I been the one to witness what had happened I would have written just about anyone off as dead. Her Grace also had many other subordinates like me to worry about. She couldn't risk all of their lives on the very slim chance that I might have survived." Petros said, once again trying to act as a mediator.

All this time, Marcus had been carefully watching the interactions between everyone.

He had been genuinely surprised to see Szusha's righteous indignation towards Lyra. Had she just considered Petros some sort of abandoned property she picked up, there was no way she would have gotten as furious as she had for his sake.

'There's no doubt they've got some sort of stronger bond than just master and servant.'

Marcus could tell that the two of them had a deep connection. And it was fairly clear how this conversation was going to go. Petros was going to insist on staying. If he wanted to go back to Tralenstein, he likely would have already begged Lyra to do so.

Lyra seemed to pick up on this herself and allowed the intensity she had been radiating to relax. She had already discussed things with Marcus and Quillon and decided to accept his wishes, whatever they were.

"Okay, I understand now that Petros is not being forced into something he doesn't want to do. So how about the two of you start at the beginning. I want to know how Petros went from being blasted by mana cannons and nearly dying, to ending up here." Lyra said, giving the two hosts an imploring look.
