Having passed out the night before, Aoni slept soundly while his Summons set to work cleaning up the mess he'd made by proxy of his upgrade session.
It was bad; poor Nyria and Glacia had struggled in order to clean the camp, especially since the byproduct of his upgrade had been flung all over the place during the bubble pop phase; even so, they did their utmost to make sure there wasn't so much as a speck of crud left behind.
It took them nearly 2 hours to scrub everything down, but once finished, neither one of them had the mind to eat since their stomachs had been churning for hours thanks to the smell.
Upset that she didn't get an opportunity to eat, not that she could have kept the food down, Glacia, with her head hung low, trudged back into the cave while Nyria locked everything up for the night and then joined her.
Soon enough, both Summons were nestled into their respective beds and drifting off into the land of slumber.@@@@

- 3 Days Until the Barrier Drops –
Because of physical and mental exhaustion, not one of the residents of the cavehouse woke up bright and early. Instead, it was several hours after the sun rose the next day before the first set of eyes fluttered open.
"Yaaawwnnn," sitting up from his bed with a groggy mind, Aoni rubbed his eyes and noticed the cave was fairly dark, apart from the faintly glowing embers coming from the fireplace.
'Sure enough, adding a door to the cave makes this place too comfortable; by not having sunlight beaming into my face every morning, I seem to revert to my old ways of sleeping past noon.' Scratching his belly like a monkey, Aoni swung his legs over the side of the bed and saw his sleeping summons.
Of course, Glacia was snoring away on her back in a very unlady-like position. In contrast, Nyria was sitting up, legs tucked in, feathers fluffed up like a ball, and head resting against her left shoulder.
'So cute, tsk, Glacia could learn something from Nyria, that damn floof has horrible sleeping posture,' smiling warmly at Nyria, then rolling his eyes at the floof, Aoni carefully got out of bed, and not wanting to wake the girls up, crept up to the cave door on his tippy toes.
'If she doesn't wanna eat it, the little glutton will,'

Inside the cave, apart from Glacia's annoying loud snoring, it was relatively quiet. However, unknown to Aoni, who had tried his best to stay quiet as he snuck out, his mere presence moving around the cave was enough to wake both his summons.
Still, while Glacia was able to pass right back out, Nyria was a different story; her night's rest was restless due to fear of having another nightmare; however, she was still able to get a couple of hours of sleep.
What she hadn't yet told her Lord was that every night since being summoned had been like this; upon falling asleep, she would be haunted by strange dreams where she'd find herself alone, cowering, and in a cage.
With no recollection of anything like this ever happening to her, Nyria was stumped. Still, strangely enough, whenever she had this nightmare, Glacia seemed to appear alongside Aoni, and then the dream would end.
Since getting her nest, the nightmare had ceased, but that didn't ease her fear of it happening.
Opening her eyes and fluffing her feathers, Nyria basically gave up trying to fall back asleep, then tilted her neck to the point that her head was nearly upside down so that she could look at the door to the cave.
'Brother...is he cooking breakfast? It smells tasty,' Standing up and shaking her body in such a way that her feathers settled back down, Nyria hopped over her nest's wall and gently pecked Glacia in the belly.
"GAO!" The sudden poke was enough to freak the floof out as she curled into a ball while staring up at her little sister with a wronged expression on her face.
However, this annoyance didn't last long because before she could utter another sound, Glacia's little nose twitched several times before a trail of drool began leaking down the side of her cute mouth.
"oOOOooOOo!" *Food food food fooddddd!"
