Chapter 280- Back In The Tower (Part 4)

Arthur immediately grabbed his sword and took a fighting stance, facing the imminent danger coming toward him. The sheer shockwave with each step gave Arthur a morbid realization that the monster was far bigger than he expected.

'Of course, the mother was nearby! Why wouldn't she be?!' Arthur took several steps back to create space for himself, ready to engage the monster. At the same time, he formed several arrows around him and activated his Bloody Claws, Lonesome Warrior's Howl, and Soul Fear.

A split second later, the monster finally appeared in the area and as Arthur expected, its appearance was simply terrifying. The Yeti was enormous, to say the least. It easily towered over Arthur as if he was a small rat.@@@@

In appearance, it looked exactly like the infant Yeti, except far more disgusting and horrifying. Its teeth were protruding out of its mouth, dripping with blood as if they were just sinking into a fresh corpse a few minutes ago.

Its arms were at least triple Arthur's height and its claws could easily slice him in half it wished.

Reaching the area, the monster stopped and looked to the side. There, it saw its child dead on the ground with its head next to it. The sight made the monster's eyes visibly widen before it turned to look at Arthur, this time, the rage in its eyes had reached a completely different level. So much so, that its pupils turned a horrifying red color.

'Shit...'

"RAWWWWWWWR!!!!!" The screech it made at that moment, almost burst Arthur's eardrums before it quickly dashed toward Arthur, running with both arms and legs like an enraged ape.

Reaching Arthur, it slammed its hand down, aiming to squash the target with one hit.

"No, you don't..." Clenching his teeth, Arthur swung his sword up, creating a large arc of ice.

The two attacks clashed violently, sending a large shockwave in every direction. The ice slash burst into pieces upon impact with the monster, sending shards of ice everywhere.

"RAWR!!" The monster howled in pain as it fell back, grabbing its arm as traces of ice covered it.

'Now!' Arthur rushed forward and leaped in the air. He wasn't going to waste that opportunity to defeat the monster.

"RAWR!!" The Yeti growled as it quickly stood up and got ready to take him.

*BANG*

The monster howled in pain as it finally pulled all the arrows out and looked up at Arthur. The latter struggled to get out of the hole. Yet, as if it wasn't already bad, he noticed a second horrifying detail.

Inside the hole, a series of sharp, blade-like objects appeared all around the hole, forming what can only be described as a living meat grinder.

The blades quickly started turning inside the hole at a rapid speed, ready to swallow Arthur's leg.

"You're... insane!!" Arthur clenched his teeth as he threw his sword into the inventory and grabbed both sides of the monster's torso as he tried to pull himself up quickly.

Meanwhile, the Yeti grabbed his shoulders and sank its sharp claws into his back, trying to push him down.

"No!!" The young man yelled at the top of his lungs. 'What the hell is this ability and why the hell does this thing have it?! I'm about to be turned into fucking minced meat!!'

Arthur felt his back getting pierced by the sharp claws as the two struggled for dominance. Nothing could make the situation any worse. Arthur felt his legs getting closer and closer to the sharp blades.

'I need to get out quickly! Think! Think!' Arthur wrecked his head for ideas. That was when he quickly remembered something.

Quickly, Arthur channeled his mana as he activated the last skill he hadn't used yet.

'Frost Flame!!'

The ball of blue flames manifested in front of him.

"...?" The Yeti stared at the fire for a moment as its eyes visibly widened. Then, it shifted toward Arthur who had a wide, gruesome smile on his face.

"Fuck... you."

After saying that, he dropped the ball, letting it fall into the hole. Almost immediately, the monster panicked as it grabbed him and yanked him out. Arthur flew in the air and landed several feet away from his enemy.

At the same time, the Yeti started screeching and crying as it grabbed its open second mouth and tried to pull the flame out. However, by then... It was already over.
