Chapter 5 Warring Beasts Forest

The Warring Beasts Forest is a massive forest that stands right next to the Original Desire Sect and is very a popular training place for the sect's disciples.

In the forest, there are countless dangerous animals, monsters and other powerful creatures.

Every now and then, the elders of the Original Desire Sect will enter it and clean out the strongest and most dangerous monsters, making it safe for disciples to enter.

Even then, there were still many causalities among those that chose to enter.

But all of these had no relation with Chu Wuyao.

As someone that had just started cultivating and her strength was not too strong, she didn't plan to go deep into the Warring Beasts Forest and planned to stay at the forest's outskirts.

The Warring Beasts Forest borders the Original Desire Sect and there is even an entrance at the edge of the sect, from which disciples can enter and exit the forest.

When Chu Wuyao arrived there, she saw that many outer and inner disciples were also here, ready to go in.

From their strength and their equipment, Chu Wuyao could guess that most of them were ready to go deep into the forest in order to hunt monsters.

Just as she was about to step into the forest, her movements stopped as a cute woman with long brown hair that was tied into a ponytail ran towards her.

"Junior sister, do you want to team up with us?", the brown-haired woman asked politely and pointed at a team of outer disciples behind her.

Apart from the brown-haired woman, there was one more woman and two young men in their team.

Their individual strength wasn't very strong, similar to that of Chu Wuyao.

In response to the brown-haired woman's invitation, Chu Wuyao shook her head and said: "Sorry but I already have a team."

"It's okay, I'm sorry for bothering you. Let's get together next time.", the brown-haired woman smiled kindly and ran back to her team.

After taking a deep look at her, Chu Wuyao didn't hesitate and walked right into the forest.

"Junior sister Cai, what happened?", a blonde man looked at the brown-haired woman and asked.

Junior sister Cai shook her head and her tone was filled with displeasure as she said: "She rejected me, saying that she had already had other teammates."

"Hmph, what teammates? I just saw her entering the forest alone. She is clearly lying to you."

"She dares to enter the forest alone with her meager strength. The ignorant are truly fearless.", the blonde man sneered and said disdainfully.

His words gained everyone's agreement, making the blonde man feel even more arrogant.

He looked at his junior sister, whose expression became a little better and continued boasting.

"Don't worry about her. Isn't she just a little more beautiful than you, junior sister Cai?"

"No matter how beautiful she is, it doesn't matter. Only by possessing strength can you survive in the cultivation world."

"With our team working together, we'll surely be able hunt down monsters and gain enough contribution points to enhance our strength."

Since Chu Wuyao had her predecessor's memories, she had some basic knowledge about the various monsters and animals in this world.

The Dark Poison Viper is an infamous animal that possesses monster bloodline.

Its strength is not very strong and it is only slightly stronger than an ordinary snake, but it is sought after because of its poison's effect.

Its poison can be used to make aphrodisiacs which are very popular among cultivators.

Especially in the Original Desire Sect which focuses on dual cultivation, the Dark Poison Viper's poison can be sold for at least 10 contribution points.

With this in mind, Chu Wuyao didn't act rashly but held her breath and stepped forward slowly, trying to make as little noise as possible.

As a snake, the Dark Poison Viper's eyesight is quite bad and it mostly relies on its smell and hearing.

Chu Wuyao stepped closer very carefully and when she was just a few meters away from the snake, she used one of the skills she had previously obtained.

Fog of Hallucination.

Translucent pink mist floated out of her body 's pores and spread in area around her.

The pink mist's speed was quite slow, but the Dark Poison Viper seemed unable to sense it, not reacting at all.

Finally, when the pink mist reached the Dark Poison Viper, it drilled into its body from its mouth, eyes and nostrils.

A pink light flashed in the Dark Poison Viper's eyes and countless images appeared on its immature mind.

Crash!

It lost control of its body and could no longer hold onto the tree, falling to the ground and making a loud noise.

Chu Wuyao didn't give it any opportunity to react and the moment it fell to the ground, she clenched her delicate fist into a punch, aiming right for its head.

Boom!

Before the Dark Poison Viper could recover from the hallucinations, her fist had already come into contact with it.

Bang!

A loud sound echoed in forest, as the Dark Poison Viper's skull cracked under her violent punch.

The Dark Poison Viper tried to muster up a counterattack, but its resistance proved to be futile and its body soon stopped moving.

Blood flew all over the place, dying the surrounding grass and trees in red color.

Chu Wuyao's hand wasn't spared either and her entire right hand was soaked in blood that slowly dripped to the ground.

She didn't have time to care about this though, as she was focused on the prompt that flashed in her field of vision.
