Chapter 41 Waking Up, Still in a Dream

When Chu Xu regained consciousness, he found that his whole body was wrapped up in bandages, while he was laying on top of a soft bed.

Recalling everything that happened before he fell in a come, his heroic appearance, his extraordinary strength and the sacrifices he had made for peace, Chu Xu was very satisfied with himself.

He could already imagine his Xia Qianyue's gleaming eyes, filled with appreciation and admiration for his previous actions.

Chu Xu's eyelids twitched and he opened his eyes, fully expecting that Xia Qianyue would be sitting next to him, trying desperately to help him wake up.

But when he glanced around, he found that he was completely alone, in an empty, luxurious room.

Apart from himself, there was no other person in the room, let alone his junior sister.

"Junior sister must have exhausted herself with helping me heal and had to take a rest to recover.", Chu Xu smiled slightly.

"Sure enough, junior sister loves me very much.", he thought happily.

Feeling that his body had somewhat recovered, he moved slowly and stood up from the bed with difficulty, trying to ignore the sharp pain coming from his muscles.

Once he got up, he was not willing to spend any more time in this empty room, unable to hold his urge to see his junior sister back.

Gritting his teeth while feeling the pain on his body, he trotted towards the door and pushed it open, before stepping outside.

"Are we still in the Waterflower City?", he whispered as he looked around, but quickly shook his head.

"It doesn't matter where we are. I just need to find my junior sister."

Once he stepped outside, Chu Xu found himself in a large garden, and it was fairly obvious that the place where they stayed was some kind of mansion.

Ignoring all of this, Chu Xu's ears twitched and he heard a few whispers coming from the north side of the garden.

"Is it junior sister?", he smiled unconsciously and struggled to walk over.

With each step, Chu Xu noticed that his bandaged injuries were worsening, but he didn't care at all.

In his mind, he only wished to see the admiration in his junior sister's eyes!

Time passed by slowly and it took Chu Xu more than half an hour to reach the source of the low, laughing whispers.

Sensing that her senior brother's injuries had worsened and his condition was quite bad, Xia Qianyue showed a reluctant expression on her face.

Looking into Chu Wuyao's charming, gray eyes, Xia Qianyue's pupils flashed with heat and desire, but then she shook her head and sighed.

"Damn it! Senior brother really knows how to pick a time.", she cursed inwardly, but could only move her body and get up.

"Sister Chu, I'm sorry, but I have to take care of my senior brother.", Xia Qianyue looked at Chu Wuyao and apologized with a wry smile.

"Don't worry. There will be more opportunities in the future.", Chu Wuyao nodded her head and comforted her with a tender smile.

Seeing this, Xia Qianyue breathed a sigh of relief and walked towards her Chu Xu, before sitting down and placing her hand on his abdomen.

Her palm glowed with a dazzling, green light that flowed into Chu Xu's body, investigating his condition and healing some of the less serious injuries.

Some distance away, Chu Wuyao seemed to be looking at this scene expressionlessly, but her eyes flashed with indifference and ruthlessness that was completely opposite to the tenderness she had just showed.

It had been three days since they had killed Li Zhengyu and while Chu Xu was in a coma, Chu Wuyao had found that Xia Qianyue's attitude towards her was becoming better and better.

Every day, she would come and pester her, wanting to take her out to take a stroll in the city, visit the many popular shops, etc..

If Chu Wuyao didn't know any better, she would have thought that the two of them were childhood friends who had deep feelings for each other.

This was why, as a test, Chu Wuyao took the initiative to kiss Xia Qianyue, wanting to see her reaction.
