Chapter 47 Sacrifice
Chapter 47 Sacrifice
Chu Wuyao was waiting for the person appointed by the sect and in the blink of an eye, a few weeks passed by.
Laying on the bed lazily and feeling the maids' soft hands massaging her body, Chu Wuyao had to sigh that as long as one had enough power, they could enjoy themselves no matter the world they were in.
This holds especially true for this primitive, ancient world.
Over the past half month, Chu Wuyao had spent most of her time either enjoying the services of the maids or cultivating, trying to enhance her strength as much as possible.
If it were not for some "things" she had to do, she would have almost forgotten that this was a dangerous world where the strong eat the weak.
Suddenly, the sound of the door opening interrupted her thinking, causing Chu Wuyao to raise her head and look at the visitor.
It was a tall maid, with blonde hair and an expressionless look on her face, as if she was a cold ice that would never melt.
When the maid saw that Chu Wuyao was staring at her, she bowed her head and spoke in a respectful voice.
"Master, there have been more and more disappearances over the past few weeks."
"These include ordinary people, shopkeepers, wealthy people and even a famous philanthropist."
"The residents in the city are becoming more and more panicked with each disappearance.", she reported faithfully.
Unfortunately, her words received only a wave of hands by Chu Wuyao, who continued laying lazily and didn't seem to care at all.
"I've already told you, before the appointed person sent by the sect arrives, you'll be entirely responsible for everything that happens in the city.", she said.
"But Master, if the sect blame-", the maid tried to argue, but she received a cold look from Chu Wuyao.
"I said that you'll be responsible. Don't waste my precious time with these small things.", Chu Wuyao's contained a hint of warning, which caused a flash of fear to appear in all the maids' eyes inside the room.
Over the past days, although Chu Wuyao seemed to be very kind and approachable, she had already become infamous throughout the mansion.
By now, all the maids and servants knew that this beautiful woman was extremely moody and if you offended her, you would end up being punished.
Thinking of the whip hitting their butt, shivers ran down the maids' spines.
Seeing this, Chu Wuyao was no longer in a mood to play with the maids.
"Okay, that's it for now. I'll call you over later.", she motioned them to leave and the maids ran out, as if they had received amnesty.
Chu Wuyao looked at this with indifference.
Only when she was sure that everyone had left did she get up from the bed, covered her naked body with a black dress, and then, walked out of the room.
With slow steps but steady steps, she navigated through the colorful corridors of the mansion, until she arrived at the study room.
Pushing the door open, she walked towards a bookshelf and picked up a book, activating the hidden mechanism.
The bookshelf moved to the side, revealing a red door with a two-headed goat painted on it.
Just like before, Chu Wuyao pushed the door open and walked down the spiral, stone staircase.
They wanted to scream and beg for mercy, but before they could say any word, the chains started sucking their blood.
The prisoners' blood was then guided into the Blood Flag through the chains, causing it to shine more and more brightly.
Noticing this, Chu Wuyao looked at the flag in her hand and her mouth opened, spitting out a mouthful of blood that fell on it.
The moment the blood came into contact with the flag, it was instantly absorbed, and Chu Wuyao immediately knew that there was a connection between them.
Following this, the dazzling red light around the Blood Flag disappeared, revealing its new appearance.
The flagpole had turned completely black, with countless golden runes all over its body, while the flag itself had turned into a bloody, crimson color.
It exuded a majestic aura that spread throughout the room, making Chu Wuyao feel as if she was the Queen that ruled the world.
The Blood Flag had been completed, turning into Chu Wuyao's first magic weapon!
The Blood Flag's red light was reflected in Chu Wuyao's eyes, which were filled with madness.
Coupled with her wild smile, she looked particularly evil.
Waving the flag in her hand around, Chu Wuyao had the urge to find a few people to kill and test its power, but she soon calmed down and regained control of her emotions.
"This will be done later. I have more important things to do right now.", she muttered and stroked the Blood Flag, before putting it back to her space ring.
Then, she brought up the system, turning her focus to a long-forgotten system prompt.
[Conditions to unlock the Devil Race:]
[1. Kill 100 creatures of the same race(100/100)]
[2. Train your physical body to be stronger than your cultivation(1/1)]
[3. Practice a skill to perfection(0/1)]
Seeing that the first condition had finally been completed, Chu Wuyao didn't hesitate and opened the system panel, pouring her Sin Points into the Blood Fire skill.
The number in the brackets behind the skill increased rapidly, until they finally turned into [Blood Fire(Perfection)].
The moment this happened, the whole system panel shook wildly and another prompt appeared in Chu Wuyao's field of vision.
[You've unlocked the Devil Race.]
[Please choose a route from those below, which will become the focus during your bloodline awakening.]
