Chapter 116 [Audrey Heath]

Chapter 116 [Audrey Heath]

In a large square, more than a dozen men were standing with their upper body naked, holding various cold weapons in their hands such as swords, sabers, spears and axes.

These men were all making many small, tedious movements, while their breathing was very peculiar, following a certain rhythm.

As the men continued moving on the spot, a look of exhaustion appeared on their faces and sweat ran down their forehead.

In a corner of the square, Chu Wuyao stood silently with her hands behind her back, looking at the men that were training with an expressionless face.

Right next to her stood a rough middle aged man, who was more than 2 meters in height and had exaggerated muscles on his body.

Chu Wuyao and the middle aged man seemed to put these men under great pressure and some of them were distracted, almost stumbling on themselves and destroying this seemingly harmonious scene.

"Idiots! What are you doing? Keep your posture straight!", a loud booming voice came from the middle aged man that stood next to Chu Wuyao, waking up these men.

After they apologized profusely, they forced themselves to calm down and nervously fixed their posture, continuing their training.

Seeing this, the middle aged man nodded in satisfaction and turned his head to look at Chu Wuyao.

"Miss, what brings you to the training field this early in the morning?", he asked and although his words were quite polite, it was clear that he was quite familiar with Chu Wuyao.

Hearing his question, Chu Wuyao didn't turn her head at all, but still responded in a calm voice:

"Uncle Roger, you don't have to be nervous. I just came to observe how Warriors train and become familiar with their training methods and fighting patterns."

The middle aged man, Roger, laughed loudly when he heard this and opened his mouth to speak: "Hahaha, that's good!"

"Although the Earl is planning to send Miss to the Magician Academy, it would be best if you were able to become familiar with the way Warriors fight beforehand."

"After all, whether one becomes a Magician or a Warrior, they'll inevitably have to fight other extraordinary people."

"In life and death situations, it is exactly this familiarity that might actually save your life."

In response to his words, Chu Wuyao imitated the manners of her predecessor and smiled slightly, making sure that Roger wouldn't realize that the owner of this body had changed.

She knew very well that the middle aged man next to her was a powerful Warrior and one of the few people that had watched her grow up, meaning that there was a slight possibility for him to find some clues.

Even though the possibility of this happening was extremely low, being cautious was always a good thing.

Taking a look at Roger, Chu Wuyao thought of her current identity, the daughter of Earl Heath, Audrey Heath.

Different from the Cultivation World that Chu Wuyao is familiar with, this world is not divided into different areas that are ruled by extraordinary forces, but instead, there is a kingdom that has unified most of this continent.

According to the history that her predecessor had learned, it was about five hundred years ago that an extremely powerful man was born and with his supreme strength, he was able to unify most of the continent, becoming the leader of the human race and establishing the Sun Kingdom.

Since then, many years have passed, but this man's descendants still remain as the royal family, ruling most of the continent, at least in name.

In reality, although the Sun King has a large amount of power, there are various lords below him, such as dukes, marquises, earls and barons.

Each of these lords has their own territory and they have complete control over it, essentially taking some of the royal family's power away.

Even then, the royal family is still considered the strongest force and the Sun King is still the most respected person in the continent.@@@@

"Even though five hundred years have passed since the establishment of the Sun Kingdom, it is very likely that the ancestor of the royal family, the first Sun King, is still alive.", Chu Wuyao thought, recalling some of the rumors her predecessor had heard.

"As a non-extraordinary person, places like the training field are not places you should be visiting."

Hearing his words that seemed to be filled with brotherly love, Chu Wuyao imitated the manners of Audrey Heath and smiled slightly, before nodding her head:

"Brother, you're right. It's just that I was too bored and I wanted to observe the Warriors' training."

"It's good to be willing to learn, but before you become a Magician, you have to ensure your personal safety.", Winton smiled and turned his head to look at Roger.

"Uncle Roger, please take my sister inside."

"If an accident were to happen, I wouldn't know how to answer to my father."

In response, Roger immediately nodded his head: "Yes, Young Master."

When he saw this, the smile on Winton's face became wider and after he said a few more words and specially reminded Chu Wuyao to be careful, he hurriedly left the training field.

Looking at Winton's back, Chu Wuyao smiled gently on the surface, but an undetectable cold glint flashed in her eyes.

If anyone were to witness Winton's previous attitude and actions, they would have thought that he was a great brother, being extremely concerned about the safety of his younger sister.

Unfortunately, Chu Wuyao had the memories of Audrey and knew that all of this was a lie.

From her memories, she understood that although the two of them were siblings, they only shared the same father, while they had a different mother.

Her father, Earl Heath, had many wives, but among them, only two were lucky enough to bear children.

One of them was Audrey's mother, who unfortunately died during childbirth, while the other one was Winton's mother, who not only was alive, but had managed to obtain extraordinary status.

After all, as Winton was the only son of the Earl, it was almost certain that he would eventually inherit the Earl title, as well as the territory.

This meant that most people in the mansion were very willing to carry favor with Winton's mother, invisibly elevating her status.

On the other hand, Chu Wuyao's status was somewhat embarrassing.

Not only was she a female and her mother was dead, but she was also the younger child, making it almost impossible to inherit the title.

This made her father's attitude somewhat ambiguous, not giving her any guidance to become a Warrior, but urging her to go to the Magician Academy and become a Magician.

Chu Wuyao knew that this was because the Earl wanted to send her predecessor away in order to not bring any threat to Winton's status, but at the same time protect her.

It was also because of this that her predecessor chose to not train as a Warrior, not willing to ruin her father's plans.

"Is this the drama that most protagonists experience after their transmigration?", Chu Wuyao recalled this information, but she didn't become emotional at all.

Instead, she became excited, feeling that the situation was quite amusing.

Only such a complicated situation could bring her some fun!

"Miss, let's go inside."

Just as Chu Wuyao was getting more and more excited, Roger's voice rang in her ears and brought her back to reality.

Turning her head and looking at his serious expression that contained a hint of helpness, she didn't say anything and nodded her head, then followed him. Experience more tales on My Virtual Library Empire
