DarkSaber stood at the resurrection point, staring blankly at the sky. Behind him, several vice-presidents from the Shadow Legion appeared one by one.
"You died?"
"How coincidental, you got sent back too?"
"Are we still going back to fight the boss?"
"Fight what? Did you not see Blackshade's damage? Two hits and he took a quarter of the boss's health. By the time we get back, it'll probably be over."
"We still have brothers at the scene, there's still a chance."
"Do you believe that?"
The more they talked, the more doubtful they became, their voices growing quieter.
DarkSaber collected his thoughts and made a summary: "It's not that we're incompetent, Blackshade's methods are just too many. He even managed to crack a Gold Grade scroll... I have nothing to say."
Looking back at how confident they had been before the battle started, DarkSaber really didn't know what to say.
The other vice-presidents were the same. When they saw the Gold Grade scroll earlier, they thought they had the battle in the bag.
"Come on, it's a Gold Grade item. How could it not take care of one Blackshade?"
But in the end, it didn't work.
As for going back to fight the boss, there was no point. With Blackshade's damage output, by the time they arrived, the boss would already be gone. Going back would be a waste of time.

One of the members, looking downcast, shouted, "Boss, IFA went too far!"
This immediately resonated with the others, and they started venting their frustrations.
"Yeah, those bastards led countless sea monsters to attack us."
"I've figured it out now, IFA didn't come to fight the boss; they came to mess with us!"
"Where's the spirit of the game? Sure, we've messed with them before, but when the boss spawns, shouldn't we unite against it?"
"Damn it, my shield got blown up. How about you guys?"

As the Tide Giant collapsed, it provided a substantial amount of experience, allowing Tristan to level up again. He came in at level 17 and walked out at level 20, making a huge gain.
Looking at the leaderboard, Ivan, who was ranked second, was still only level 15. The gap had already widened.
"Big bosses are the way to go; small monsters are too easy," Tristan thought contentedly.
He suddenly felt that Dark Horizon wasn't so bad after all. If they had arranged for boss fights like this in all twelve main cities, Tristan could level up to 30 or even 40 in no time, just from running back and forth.
It was a pleasant thought.
However, the situation in Sonar City was a bit different from Davi City.
The Sonar City boss didn't seem to be a triggered event but rather something that had been unintentionally discovered by players.
That was a very plausible scenario.
At this stage, players' biggest enthusiasm wasn't just leveling up, but also hunting down bosses. Dark Horizon in Sonar City probably hadn't activated their arrangements yet, and players had stumbled upon the boss and triggered the fight.
Tristan could only imagine how frustrated Dark Horizon must be. They hadn't even had a chance to prepare before their plans were ruined.
But Tristan didn't care about what Dark Horizon thought. He stepped forward, claiming the loot for himself.
Before he could even check it out, GemmaS came running over, looking apologetic. "Blackshade, I admit I was a little loud earlier. Even though I've improved, I'm still not as good as you."
GemmaS had thought she stood a chance in this boss fight, but once Blackshade stepped in, dealing 1.5 million damage to the boss, she realized the reality of the situation.
Now that the boss was dead, she came over to admit defeat.
Tristan smiled. "Don't be discouraged, your class still has a lot of potential to be unlocked."
Then, looking at the loot in his bag, he added, "I've got something here that might be perfect for you."
