Chapter 204 Burning Oneself

The remains of the human monsters that fell under Cesar's canines were all destroyed mercilessly as he used his Facet Sink, something that he hadn't been using since he found no situation to use the same power.

However, in this case, where he was completely held up by the human monsters while seeing the Nightmare lunging towards him, Cesar knew he had to bring everything he had gotten from his arsenal and use it today to fight Upheaval.

What made his reaction regarding the human monster as the others also started to enter his body and without struggle and after a few seconds, dozens had already entered his body.

It made Cesar nervous for the first time in a while.

After all, a strange creature just used its power to invade his body which could turn everything he worked hard for fruitless.

He thought this was the end.

Not until he heard Cedeit from his mind, suggesting a deal that could turn things around.

While sinking his teeth into the human monsters that were trying to entrap him, targeting the ones that were entering his body first, Cedeit began to explain.

"We don't know what that Nightmare is capable of. Who knows if this is really how you die? With me. Imagine dying into Nightmares, something you loathed for your life. It's threatening you to kill now and you have no choice but to ask for help,"

Cesar gritted his teeth, a desperate seethe escaped his lips.

"Shut up, shut up, shut up! I'm thinking it through, okay?! And there's no way I'm letting you take over control of my body again. We're die? That's all right with me! After all, you and Deceit's legacy will not fall on this world. It will be just a person who died fighting a Nightmare valiantly,"

Cedeit who would've been angry upon hearing that snarky reply which is something he wasn't familiar with, would immediately crash out when Cesar has the freedom to talk shit.

But the situation was different from an hour ago and now where Cesar is facing grave danger from their enemy.

But that doesn't mean Cedeit would let the chance slip from his hands when an opportunity just showed from his front.

It was finally time to try controlling Cesar once again, and upon remembering his past mistakes where he should've gone for full control instead, Cedeit learned everything the hard way and is determined to push it through to success.

"Cesar let me make a deal with you. Hand me control over your body and we'll survive this. I will even kill that Nightmare for free to add to the list of things for your actions on lending your body to you. It's just a small sacrifice to make after all,"

However, the Nightmare was keeping a safe distance from Cesar, knowing that the fire he was using could potentially threaten its life.

This became the reason why the Nightmare was further slightly away from the ground, afraid that Cesar would pull yet another surprise that would catch it off guard.

However what came next isn't something the Nightmare and Cedeit, who were watching the scene, expected.

"You! Cesar Sparrow, you're mad!"

Cesar pointed the superficial fire to himself as if he was ready to burn himself into the ground by doing a suicide act to burn himself.

The Nightmare who was hovering in the air seemed to let out a snort as he knew the fire was destructive enough to destroy the mansion with his raw power alone, while also destroying the Mayor's residence that was also influenced by it.

But Cedeit was right and Upheaval was wrong.

In these times of despair, the only thing that Cesar could do was pull off this desperate attempt to end it all.

It will be a gamble that will not be relying on Cedeit's help.

Cesar was going to use the superficial fire to burn the human monsters that entered his body. And he was going to do it precisely at the parts of his body where those monsters used to enter.

Burning all of them instantaneously while leaving no room for mistake, Cesar grabbed Floor of Darkness and Book of Contents from his Key's storage.

"You want some battle of lackeys, Upheaval?!"

The floor of the ground turned darker while the book pages swept upon, revealing countless blank pages with only one page with sentences, Cesar smirked.

"Here!"

Wiping the flame that surrounded him which burned all of the human monsters clinging onto him, Cesar used the Floor of Darkness to produce a darkness image of him while use the book to use the Paper Figurines from Cedeit's powers.

The Nightmare who seemed to have gotten affected by feeling the same burning sensation when his human monsters died tried to use his wings to escape from the situation.

But this action was soon stopped when he noticed a paper figure of Cesar touching one of his elongated hands with the shadow of Cesar touching the other elongated arm.
