Chapter 1-1 The Beginning~ Enter Tabby

(Day 001, Time: Midnight)

I woke with a start.

My heart raced as I found myself in my own bed, drenched in cold sweat. It took a moment to realize it had all been a dream — a dream that felt far too real.

Just as I was about to swing my legs over the side of the bed, something caught my attention:

Soft, rhythmic breathing.

My senses went on high alert, out of instinct, I quickly reached for the lamp on my nightstand for defense, grabbing it tightly.

Then, I slowly lifted the quilt.

And there she was.

A humanoid figure with cat ears perched on her head, and a long, fluffy tail wrapped around her body.

She was curled up in the bed, sound asleep, completely unaware of being discovered.

Dumbstruck and caught off-guard by this sudden "visitor", I screamed,

"WHAT ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN MY ROOM?!"

The figure bolted upright, eyes wide and startled. For a long moment, neither of us moved.

She blinked at me, then slowly tilted her head, as though trying to process what just happened.

"Oh, you're here," she said, her voice calm. "I think I must’ve dozed off. This bed is just so cozy."

I could barely comprehend what was happening. "What do you mean ‘dozed off’? Who are you? And why are you... a cat person?"

"I’m Tabby," she answered, still looking unusually relaxed, her tail flicked lazily as she stretched out.

"I’m a Felinara. A cat-human from my world. And I woke up here. In your bed."

Tabby then yawned.

I stared at her, my mind trying to piece things together. "Your world? Wait... what do you mean by that? Don't you mean..."

I took a deep breath. "Okay... if this is all real, then... Stats."

A glowing screen appeared before me, just like in the dream:

[ ShadowClaw - Level 1 Adventurer ]

HP: 15 / 15

MP: 20 / 20

Strength: 10

Agility: 12

Intelligence: 8

Skills: [None]

Equipment: [None]

Status: Frightened( Speed boost, but harder to dodge)

I stared at the screen, my jaw dropping. It was just like a video game. But it was real.

Tabby peeked over my shoulder, her eyes sparkling. "Oooh, you’re not bad for a newbie! Bet you’ll level up in no time!"

I turned to face her, determination replacing my earlier confusion.

"Alright, Tabby. If we’re partners in this... adventure... then you better tell me everything you know. And just call me Shad."

She grinned, her tail flicking excitedly. "Deal! But first... got any food? I’m starving!"

Before I could continue, a knock on the door interrupted us. I froze, eyes widening. "Who is that?"

"I don't know," Tabby said, her tail flicking nervously.

I glanced at the door, unsure whether to answer it or hide. The knock came again, more insistent this time.

I took a deep breath, and answered the door. Standing in front of me was an youth, wearing a long black robe with green trims.

"Ah, you must be the new arrivals," he said, his voice rough, but not unkind.

"The chief wants to see you." he said.
