Chapter 395: Gate on Earth
Chapter 395: Gate on Earth
" Die." His voice boomed like a heavenly mandate, his three opponents felt an overwhelming sense of dread.
They all used everything they had to block but there was nothing to block for there was no physical attack.
Ved had used dragon magic, what they were facing was not something they can block, it was an order.
There was so explosion or fancy light and in a blink of an eye all three appeared much different from before.
" Oh, you survived that, quite impressive." He complimented them but to them it sounded like mockery.
That was not Ved’s intention, he was truly surprised by the fact that they survived. Dragon magic on its own was powerful.
Used by a divine dragon, it was even more powerful and used in conjecture to the great law of death.
The fact that people without a great law or divinity were able to resist and survive his death command was impressive in his eyes.
’ Perhaps I should’ve tried to use the law of destruction.’ he thought but there was an issue with that.
The law of destruction destroys everything it touches, he needs to find the right ratio to mix it with mana.
Otherwise it might destroy the mana itself rendering his magic useless. This was the issue Naledi was facing too.
They had supreme laws but other than the passive enhancements and law barrier, they couldn’t use them.
He looked at the three men, each one could barely remain in the air. They had aged greatly and were not far from death.
Since his magic couldn’t kill them it aged them and brought them closer to death. He got bored with them.
In their current state, there was no way they could fight him. He flapped his wings and appeared in front of them.
Before they could react he devoured all three of them at once then he spit out their weapons.
( 1.8 evolution points obtained, 2.01 evolution points obtained, 1.2 evolution points obtained.)
Everybody looked at him with shock, Volstone had the worst expression of them all.
He realised how monstrous this dragon was, not once did he use his law avatar or any of the abilities he had when they fought.
He now wondered how powerful he would be if he went all out, his mind drifted to that boy under the empire.
He wondered if he would be a match for this dragon since they were both divinities. Then he turned towards Naledi, another monster.
Her fight was even more terrifying, she didn’t move a single step and had the two fight each other.
Initially the frog woman was holding back as to not kill her friend but she was finding it harder to hold on.
She knew she would have to go all out if she wants to get out of this alive. When she saw Ved kill the others she panicked.
Water surged out of her mouth and devoured her friend and a pressure of a hundred worlds crushed her.
The bird law avatar struggled under the weight of this water to no avail. Eventually the light woman was crushed to death.
Naledi saved her body from being crushed to a smudge and threw it at Ved to consume, he did that happily.
Then she turned towards the frog woman who flew towards the ocean below, with her water laws.
Being in the sea would increase her chances of escaping more than if she was on air. Just as she was about to dive into the water it froze.
She felt like she had hit a brick wall and came to a stop. She looked down and noticed thick ice covering the entire ocean.
" Oh, I forgot to mention, I’m a master of water too." Naledi told her blankly making the woman feel nothing but despair.
She regretted ever answering the call of the sovereign, she thought this would be an easy task.
Rewards from a sovereign might even allow her to break through to the creation realm but that went out the window now.
The only thought she had now was to survive and even the hopes of that were dwindling.
Naledi looked at this woman and gripped her sword. While she had a lot of abilities, she was still a sword woman.
Even her vessel was a sword, sword laws danced around her sword. " Be careful." She warned her opponent.
The woman waved her hand forming a shield of water in front of her. Naledi moved, space bent around her.
She appeared in front of the frog woman in a blink of an eye. ’ Fast.’ everybody thought and she attacked.
Naledi had used the law of force to push herself forward making herself faster, the world itself was used like a foothold for her.
She applied that same ability on her sword making it move significantly faster than it normally would.
It cut through the water shield and reached the woman almost instantly but she had already reacted by then.
She retreated but before she could get far she felt herself colliding with a solid wall and looked back but saw nothing.
Naledi had solidified a barrier of invisible force behind her, with nowhere else to run, the only thing she could do is attack.
A thin jet of water shot out from her mouth to cut Naledi. Naledi tilted her head, an invisible barrier deflected the water jet.
She took a drawing stance and mimicked a move from the shogun. " Sea splitter." Water gathered around her sword.
Her body flashed and appeared in front of her opponent like a shadow and before the sword woman could react.
Naledi drew her blade, a flash of blue swept through the air and Naledi appeared a few metres behind her opponent.
Everybody looked at the frog woman who stood there frozen. Her upper body suddenly skid off her lower body.
She looked up at the sovereign with pleading eyes but none could save her, disregarding the rules.
They couldn’t do anything even if they tried because Naledi didn’t just cut her body but directly bisected her soul as well.
That sword strike was infused with the law of dominance as well. Naledi and Ved looked up.
" Can we leave now?" She asked.
The sovereigns had no reason to keep them anymore so they said nothing and the two of them left.
A short while after they left, the world of Pangera shook and the laws churned like a sea on a storm.
In that state, they became much easier to comprehend. Ved and Naledi stopped moving and tried to comprehend the laws.
They woke some time later having comprehended their prime laws even further.
They hadn’t reached 8 percent yet but they were somewhere in between now. Perhaps in a year they would reach 8 percent compression.
" Where to now?" Naledi asked but Ved couldn’t think of anything. His kind was occupied by that lost fragment.
He was too curious about what it does, " I think I’ll go see the beast sovereigns, to meet them at last."
She nodded, " I’ll come with you." He didn’t say anything. She climbed on his back and they flew away.
The news of their return spread across all of Pangera, their friends who hadn’t seen them found themselves smiling.
Months passed and the news reached even earth. Currently on earth, an army stood in front of a massive gate.
One of the nearly 100 gates that opened on Pangera opened here on earth, they had sent multiple people to the other side but none came back.
They were getting worried wondering what was on the other side that could take out so many people.
Ho, the monkey king played with his staff while wondering if he should go through as well.
One of his people had went in and he was yet to come back, he was starting to get worried.
" Oy bird girl, what should we do? The boss left you in charge, come up with a plan?" He growled.
Avery closed her eyes, she was currently in her true form, a massive raven with a wingspan of nearly 200 metres.
Since she wasn’t doing any paperwork, being in her true form was more comfortable.
Next to her sat Aira, Alya and Sheriff John. After comprehending the law of a gunslinger, his power grew immensely.
Behind him was his deputy sheriff Sarah with her lasso. " I think we should go in there and kick some alien ass."
John commented but everybody ignored him, he was well known as a trigger happy guy.
As long as he had something to shoot, he was happy, while waiting they all felt a sudden change.
The gate that has been quiet and dormant for a long time suddenly stirred. Out came a woman who was bleeding.
Her left arm was gone and a huge chunk of her torso couldn’t be found but she was still alive.
" Don’t let them come through." Those were her last words before she breathed her last and died.
Everybody wondered what she meant then felt something colliding with the gate from the other side.
They paused and looked on confused, from what they heard, getting through the gates should be easy.
So why was that thing struggling as if it had hit an invisible barrier. Not to mention they couldn’t see its form either.
Avery turned towards one of rabbit people, he had a light attribute, amongst his people, he was the fastest second to White of course.
" Go to the domain of lady Wilflower, tell her we request aid." She told him.
