Chapter 631: Primordia Originat
Chapter 631: Primordia Originat
The state of Divine Absolute Imperfection was now the ultimate form of existence one could possibly reach.
This wasn’t to be mistaken for the actual power or rank of Ash and the others, but rather, much like when he had been the embodiment of Desire and everything else.
Simply put, attaining this state, as Nia had said, made him completely free of anything within the Novel itself.
In that moment, he existed in a way that could only be described as "is."
There was no standard, no measure, nothing that could even begin to define him as anything else.
And even if something somehow had the power to define him, it wouldn’t matter—Ash could never be what others decided he was.
The notions of perfection and flawlessness held no weight for him.
As he now existed entirely beyond any and all judgment.
Ash smiled at their reactions, a calm and relaxed expression on his face. He stretched his arms slightly, as if shaking off the lingering weight of the evolution, before beginning to walk toward them through the void.
"Well, you’re not wrong, my little Nia," he said as he came closer. "There’s nothing stopping me from fucking up the rest of existence."
If someone could see through his eyes, they’d notice countless threads extending from the heads of beings.
Through them, he could see it all—their entire lives, what NovelGeek2 had planned, and how each story would end.
But if one looked at his own thread, they’d find only a single, faint strand—almost invisible.
And he knew it well; it was his link to the Author, the only one who could truly alter anything he had set in motion.
Nia’s lips curved into a sly smile as she watched him approach.
"Oh? Well, it looks like my Ashy hasn’t changed a bit," she teased, her dark eyes glinting with amusement.
From the side, Elysia let out a soft chuckle.
"Alright, Nia, let’s not get him riled up... or you might just end up as his pillow princess for the next few cycles."
Nia shot Elysia a playful glare, though she didn’t move away from Ash when he finally reached them.
By the time he sat back down cross-legged in the void, his usual black baggy attire had already reformed around him.
Nia tilted her head, watching him closely.
"...Why hasn’t your appearance changed much lately?" she asked. "Even after big evolutions, you usually look different. But recently... you’ve stayed the same."
Ash leaned back slightly, resting his hands on his knees as he considered her question.
"I’m not quite sure how I want to look yet," he admitted with a shrug. "So, I’ve been taking my time with it."
In the past, his changes had been random, dictated by the races and other factors that made him who he was, but he’d long since gained control over his appearance.
Now, he was simply wondering what his final form should be.
’Hmm, should I go for something simple?’ he mused.
Nia blinked, then gave a small nod, seemingly content with his answer for now.
Shaking off the thought, Ash then reached up and gently pulled off the simple necklace he had worn for many years.
Hum!!!
The moment it slipped from his neck, the necklace began to hum with a distinct excitement, vibrating gently in his palm.
Primordia had remained in this form for an exceptionally long time, simply because her power had waned over the years.
As mentioned before, it was all due to Ash’s negligence, but that was about to change.
Following Elysia’s advice, Primordia would not only take on a humanoid form, but her transformation would set a new benchmark for what the power of a weapon could truly accomplish.
Ash held the necklace in front of him and allowed it to float.
HUMMMM!!!!
In the next moment, the necklace shifted and expanded, transforming back into its original katana form. The blade hovered in the air between them, its edge gleaming with a faint, eager light.
Ash looked at the sword and smiled faintly.
"It’s been a while, hasn’t it?" he said softly.
The blade hummed even louder in response.
Without saying anything else, Ash’s eyes shifted.
His gaze became focused and sharp as he began to edit Primordia’s very existence.
He didn’t decide her final appearance — he left that choice to her during the moment of her awakening.
However, he did grant weapons across Pantheos something new.
Narrative Martial Domains.
This was a new conceptual framework, one that could eventually let weapons develop their own sentience, grow, and forge unique paths, much like living beings.
But since the realm of swords and weapons naturally fell under Vaeloria’s authority, Ash was careful not to overstep his bounds.
He merely laid the groundwork—though in Primordia’s case, her Martial Domain would be modeled entirely after Ash’s full range of powers.
These Domains were straightforward in concept: they allowed weapons to draw their targets into their own space, making all abilities tangible and physical.
It didn’t matter if those abilities involved rewriting the narrative or manipulating abstract ideas—within these Narrative Domains, weapons weren’t just cutting or severing.
They were stripping away the lofty layers of power and bringing even the most high-level battles back to the raw, unadorned essence of martial combat.
[A/N: Don’t worry, battles showcasing this are coming soon. Then you’ll get a better idea... or you can just ask in the comments or on Discord.]
Once the changes were complete, the katana began to shift.
HUMMMM!!!!
Its form twisted and expanded, reshaping itself into a humanoid figure.
A slim woman with long, flowing hair that was a beautiful mix of deep red and soft lavender slowly materialized.
Her features were sharp yet elegant, and the moment her body fully formed, she didn’t hesitate for even a second.
She rushed straight at Ash.
With zero shame, she threw herself into his arms, wrapping herself tightly around him. Her face pressed against his chest as she hugged him fiercely, almost like she was trying to merge into him.
However, her voice came out half-muffled and clearly annoyed.
"You bastard..." she muttered, her tone carrying both relief and irritation. "Do you have any idea how long you neglected me? Cycles, Ash. Cycles! I was starting to think you forgot I even existed."
