Chapter 168 Walkthrough
Chapter 168 Walkthrough
"I'm sorry, Satsuki, if you really love Naruto, you absolutely cannot have the mindset of 'I'm satisfied as long as he's by my side.'"
Kakashi decided to stop beating around the bush and lay bare the most realistic and cruel possibilities before her. He looked at Satsuki, who looked up with tearful eyes, her expression a mixture of confusion and fear, and continued.
"You said that just staying by Naruto's side would be enough, which sounds wonderful and selfless. But have you ever thought about Naruto...? He might not stay in the same place forever, waiting, nor will his relationship remain the same forever. His life will continue to move forward; he will meet more people and experience more things."
Kakashi paused briefly, letting the weight of his words settle, before beginning to construct images that Satsuki had never dared to contemplate.
"Let me give you a few very real examples." Kakashi's words slowly dissected Satsuki's deepest fears.
"If a man has a girlfriend, he will usually be inseparable from his lover for a long time. Their world will be tightly intertwined, and it will be difficult to accommodate a third person."
"Try to imagine that one day—maybe tomorrow—Sakura suddenly mustered up the courage to confess to Naruto, and Naruto said yes. What kind of scene would you see from then on?"
Kakashi continued speaking to himself, ignoring Satsuki's expression. Satsuki's aura instantly turned icy and suffocating. The light in Satsuki's eyes was instantly extinguished by those words, leaving only emptiness and death.
Kakashi didn't stop; he began to describe specific scenes that would completely break Satsuki.
"In the missions to come, whenever danger arises, Naruto will undoubtedly prioritize protecting Sakura without hesitation. His embrace, his back, and all his concerned gaze will naturally be focused on her alone."
"And you can only watch from the sidelines, watching your place be completely taken away."
"During breaks, you might see Sakura naturally linking her arm with Naruto's, or resting on his shoulder. Naruto might smile and ruffle her hair, or even... do something more intimate."
"And all of this is irrelevant to you; you don't even have the right to get close."
"After school or when a mission is over, Naruto probably won't invite you to his house for dinner as enthusiastically as he does now. From now on, his culinary skills will only be reserved for one person. You might not even be able to find a suitable reason to step into his house again."
With each word Kakashi spoke, Satsuki's body trembled violently, as if he were being subjected to an invisible lash.
The emptiness in her eyes was no longer just lifelessness, but began to twist and gradually turn into a darker emotion, like an abyss.
It contained unbelievable pain, chilling fear, and an extremely dangerous possessiveness that quietly grew after being driven to the brink by cruel reality.
She could almost see those scenes playing out before her eyes, every detail so clear it was breathtaking.
Yeah... Am I being too confident and presumptuous? Naruto is so outstanding, why would he always only look at me?
Sakura… how dare she… how could she do something like that?!
He's clearly the weakest! He's always hiding in the back, needing protection! What's the use of being number one in theoretical knowledge? His taijutsu and ninjutsu are both mediocre!
How dare she disregard other people's feelings? How dare she covet what belongs to me...! I will absolutely... absolutely never forgive that broad forehead!
Kakashi's descriptions were too vivid and too cruel, making it impossible for Satsuki to think rationally.
Sakura, who was far away at home and completely unaware of this, had no idea that she had almost died for no reason.
Similarly, Naruto, who was completely unaware of this, would never have known that he was almost completely possessed by some kind of extreme love.
Kakashi, the "culprit" behind all of this, finally offered his ultimate solution after listing all the possible and heartbreaking examples.
"Therefore," he said firmly, "if you really like Naruto and don't want any of the situations I just mentioned to happen—then what you need to do now is not to cry or be afraid here, but to immediately and proactively make that guy 'your' boyfriend before any of that happens."
"Eh...?"
This sudden command, so contrary to the cruel prophecy, instantly pierced the darkness churning in Zuo Yue's heart. Those hideous, jealous thoughts quickly dissipated.
Instead, a familiar, overwhelming sense of shyness and panic washed over her.
"Become... become... my... boyfriend?!" Satsuki stammered, repeating the word. Her previously pale cheeks instantly flushed crimson. She stood there helplessly, her eyes darting around. "This... how could this... I... how could I possibly do this! Suddenly saying... such things..."
Her voice grew softer and softer until it was almost a mumbled murmur, and she reverted to being that ordinary girl who was at a loss because of her crush.
Of course, if Satsuki were 100% certain that Naruto would accept her confession, she probably would have already mustered the courage to rush up and say it, instead of being stuck here in agonizing over it.
But the biggest problem now, and what's truly hindering her, isn't her girlish shyness, but rather her fear of rejection. She's afraid of that one in ten thousand possibility.
"Hmph..." Seeing Satsuki's still hesitant and indecisive expression, Kakashi suddenly let out a low, ambiguous chuckle. "Of course, I didn't say all that just to scare you. As your teacher, I certainly won't stand idly by when it comes to this kind of thing."
He also secretly sighed to himself, it seems that even with the Sharingan that can see through ninjutsu and genjutsu, one can never truly see through people's hearts.
"……you?"
Satsuki looked up, her tone filled with undisguised suspicion.
It's understandable that Zuo Yue didn't believe it. After all, in her memory, Kakashi was always engrossed in reading a rather unserious book called "Little Liu Bei," and she had never heard of him having any successful romantic experiences or partners.
Can this kind of person really give reliable advice?
Faced with his disciple's questioning, Kakashi was not angry at all. Instead, he smugly took out another book from his ninja tool bag.
The cover design of this book, like that of "Intimate Paradise," exudes an extremely frivolous atmosphere.
"What is this?" Zuo Yue frowned in disgust as she looked at the book, whose appearance alone made her want to back away.
"The 'Make-Out Guide'!" Kakashi announced with a hint of pride and boastfulness, "This is my current life guide, a bible for dealing with all kinds of interpersonal relationships!"
He put down his book and gave Satsuki a smile that Satsuki found somewhat lewd, but Kakashi considered to be full of wisdom.
"How about it? Don't let its appearance fool you, it contains detailed instructions on how to understand boys' thoughts, how to get along with girls—though you won't need those parts right now—and even methods for deepening your bond with your future sons and daughters!"
Kakashi enthusiastically promoted the product, "How about it? Want to know the secrets inside about 'how to make the people you care about care about you in the same way'?"
Satsuki was stunned by Kakashi's words. Looking at the suspicious-smelling "Make-Out Guide" and then at Kakashi's confident expression, she was caught in a huge internal struggle.
Reason told her that this was absolutely unreliable, but the strong desire deep inside her to take Naruto a step further and to eliminate all terrible future possibilities ultimately overwhelmed reason and disdain.
She was sweating profusely, and after a fierce internal struggle, she finally nodded with great difficulty and barely perceptible sound.
"……think."
