Chapter 13: Night Raid on the Valley! Natasha's Shock!
Chapter 13: Night Raid on the Valley! Natasha's Shock!
It's 10 p.m.
The watchtower is located one kilometer outside the valley.
Two terrorists carrying guns were yawning and chatting.
"I'm so sleepy, do you have any cigarettes? Give me one quickly."
One of them reached out and patted his companion on the shoulder.
"Bro, you've already smoked a whole pack of my cigarettes, and you're still asking me for more?"
His companion slapped his hand away and then retorted, "And last time we ate together, didn't you steal my lighter?"
"Look at you, so stingy! I just swiped your lighter, why are you still holding a grudge?"
He gave an awkward laugh and silently withdrew his hand.
"Is that a lighter? And who is that...?!"
His companion had only spoken half a sentence when he suddenly widened his eyes and was about to raise his gun to fire.
"Fuck! It's the middle of the night, can't you stop startling me like that?"
He didn't realize what was happening and thought his companion was just trying to scare him. But when he turned around, he saw a bright flash of light in his eyes.
puff-
Blood splattered more than ten meters high.
Two heads fell to the ground, one after the other.
Their bodies convulsed, and they collapsed to the ground one after another, soon becoming still.
"It's safe, bring the car over here."
Horn checked it over, sheathed his knife, and picked up the walkie-talkie.
buzz-
Then, an armored convoy sped over.
"As planned, Team C will provide support here, while Teams A and B will follow me on foot to the valley."
Once the vehicle came to a stop, the soldiers of Cheetah Sixth Team got out, and Horn immediately gave instructions.
"clear!"
Everyone agreed in unison.
"And me?"
Natasha paused for a moment, then pointed to herself and said.
"You'll come into the valley with me later."
Horn said something, then turned and walked straight toward the valley.
"Keep up!"
Blackhunt, the captain of Cheetah Six, immediately waved and led Team AB to quickly follow.
"That mysterious guy, he didn't even explain his plans clearly."
Natasha couldn't help but chirp a cricket behind her.
……
A few minutes later, outside the valley.
Horn led a group of soldiers and ambushed them on the hilltop.
"Sir, based on observations, there is a large amount of weaponry and approximately fifty to one hundred terrorists hidden in the valley."
A reconnaissance soldier carrying an infrared thermal imager reports to his superior.
"The number of people isn't a big problem, but the weapons are a bit of a hassle."
Horn took the imaging device from the scout, glanced at the terrorists sleeping soundly in the tent and the dozen or so people on patrol, and finally focused his gaze on the large-caliber missiles.
If they were to sneak in with a large group of soldiers, the missiles could easily detonate during a firefight. The violent explosion could cause the cave to collapse, and Tony would likely be buried alive on the spot, as would the others. Obviously, this wouldn't work.
Before he came, he had assured Rhodes that he would bring Cheetah Six back intact, so this method was obviously not an option.
Fortunately, he had made a plan before coming and had no intention of taking the huge risk of sneaking in with a group of soldiers. He immediately opened his briefcase.
"Get ready. Someone will be approaching my direction soon. Your job is to hold them off. Of course, it would be best if you could take them down."
"receive!"
The soldiers agreed and dispersed as planned.
"Natasha, stay right behind me."
Horn didn't forget to say something to Natasha, who was the only one left beside him, while continuing to work on his hands.
He skillfully assembled the weapons, slung them over his shoulder, picked up the sniper rifle, and disappeared into the night with Natasha.
He didn't rush to act. It wasn't until 1 a.m., when the terrorists were most relaxed, that he aimed at a lookout in the valley and pulled the trigger.
puff--
The silencer worked exceptionally well, making the gunshot barely audible.
The terrorist's head exploded silently in the scope.
She collapsed limply to the ground.
Then they looked for the next target.
Puff puff--
Three more terrorists have been shot in the head.
"They still haven't noticed?"
Horn was somewhat surprised, "In that case..."
His gaze fell upon the target sleeping in the tent.
"Enemy attack!"
Just as he was about to make his move, a whistle blew throughout the valley.
"That's more like it."
Horn smiled, no longer trying to hide it, and quickly pulled the trigger, aiming at the terrorists who had been awakened in the tent.
bang bang bang-
Bullets pierced the air, precisely striking heads.
"The enemy is in that direction!"
The patrolling terrorists immediately raised their weapons and opened fire on Horn's hiding place.
Unfortunately, it was late at night and the lighting was poor, so they could only attack haphazardly in an attempt to suppress Horn, which was of no threat to him as he possessed Observation Haki.
After calmly changing the magazine, he continued to reap the terrorists one by one, as if shooting at a live target.
It wasn't until he changed the magazine for the second time that he discovered seven or eight rockets were being fired at him from different directions. He quickly dropped the sniper rifle, picked up Natasha around the waist, activated [Shave], and shot away from his original position.
Boom boom boom—
A violent explosion followed by a burst of flames behind them.
Without turning his head, Horn used [Shave] three times in succession to reach a distance of over 100 meters. Then, without stopping, he carried Natasha all the way to the other side of the valley before putting her down.
"What an amazing speed!"
Natasha was shocked by Horn again. She hadn't even seen what happened. She only felt a blur before her eyes and she was already a hundred meters away. Then the wind howled in her ears. In less than a minute, when she opened her eyes again, she was already here!
"So your plan was a feint? They never expected you to get to this side of the valley in such a short time."
She immediately understood his plan.
"Get your silenced pistols ready, come inside with me."
Horn nodded, took out a silenced pistol from his holster, and quickly approached the cave along the hillside.
Logically speaking, with his abilities, it would be very easy for him to sneak in alone, and no one would be able to find him. But getting Tony out safely was not so easy.
If we were trapped in a cave by terrorists, the risk would be too great.
Natasha reacted quickly and caught up.
Meanwhile, seeing that no more gunshots were coming from the east, the terrorists in the valley immediately sent out more than twenty men, armed with guns, to cautiously approach.
Upon seeing this, the Cheetah Sixth Team, which had been lying in ambush, did not hesitate for a moment and shouted, "Fire!"
Thump thump thump—
A fierce gunfight broke out immediately.
However, they all strictly followed Horn's orders and did not fire at targets in the valley to avoid detonating the missiles.
Almost all of their firepower was concentrated on the twenty-odd people who were nearby, and the main purpose was to contain them, with no intention of engaging them in a direct confrontation.
Even so, they still easily took care of seven or eight people.
After all, their equipment and marksmanship were far superior to those of the terrorists, and with the advantage of high ground, they easily achieved suppression.
