The plan kept changing, cutting short the time to return to my hometown, which only made Cheng Su busier. Business, various summary meetings and annual meetings needed to be held, and the new home had to be slowly arranged and tidied up, never stopping.

While Cheng Su was busy with household chores and business, Qi Taiguo was busy with military duties. During this period, they hardly had any chance to meet.

Dong Jun’s face darkened, pursing his lips, then coldly retorted, "Don’t be complacent. When it comes to the incident involving Gao Linbing, who knows if there’s something unclear about you? You two are such good friends; could it be you knew his identity long ago and didn’t report it?"

Gao Linbing was Qi Taiguo’s Achilles’ heel. Dong Jun mentioning him instantly heightened Qi Taiguo’s momentum, coldly, like a small gust of wind, brushing past Dong Jun, making him shiver uncontrollably.

"Deputy Battalion Commander Dong, have you obtained any evidence, ready to report me? Go ahead! This is all you can do, no wonder you’ve been a deputy battalion commander for years." Qi Taiguo sneered, "With your foundation, you might just die in this position."

Qi Taiguo knew Dong Jun well. Other than a belly full of jealousy, he didn’t have other abilities. Oh, his skill at flattery must be considerable too.
