The only dent was found at the point where the impact occurred.
The smoke has not yet cleared.
A figure suddenly appeared, standing in front of the collapsed building. This person was wearing a red metallic uniform that covered his entire body, with only a pair of eyes burning with speed force visible beneath the mask.
He stood quietly in front of the ruins, as if waiting for something.
"Damn it!"
Inside the tank.
Bruce tensed all his muscles the instant before the impact, and the vehicle's safety system activated rapidly, with nanoscale cushioning material slowing down his already armored body.
but.
Even with double protection, the enormous impact still made him black out. It's easy to understand why his vehicle was able to smash an entire building in that instant.
"A Flash from a parallel universe? Or some other random speedster?" He kicked open the deformed car door, flipped onto the ground, and quickly scanned his surroundings through his tactical goggles.
Footsteps could be heard approaching the ruins of the building.
“Sizzle, sizzle—”
Crimson arcs of electricity flickered in the dust, and a figure slowly emerged.
“Bruce Wayne.” The attacker was clad in a dark red suit, the Speed Force energy swirling around him like flames, and his eyes beneath the mask gleamed with a cold white light.
What Bruce noticed most was that the man had a huge bat on his chest, exactly the same pattern he usually had engraved on his equipment.
Don't try to enter into a story that isn't yours.
Deep, hoarse, like a voice coming from the depths of hell.
"Who are you? Why are you attacking me?" Batman didn't answer, but instead asked a seemingly straightforward question, his right hand already silently sliding towards his belt.
Do you want to know who I am?
"I am the last crimson glimpse those sinners saw before they died, I am... the Red Reaper!" The man in the steel armor spoke in a deep voice.
It also had a touch of electronic music.
"I created this armor, I created my own Speed Force, and because of this, I am also cursed by the Speed Force, and I will always be a step slower when it comes to saving myself."
"Such an idiot, who do you think I could be?"
The red-clad figure spoke with a self-deprecating tone.
If Ian weren't here, the wild paladin would definitely recognize this figure—the Red Death Demon, a genius just like him, who could steal his ideas even across dimensions in a parallel universe.
“You don’t seem to want to kill me.” Batman was stalling for time. He figured that if Superman wasn’t so vengeful, he should have heard what was happening by now.
Thinking like this.
His thoughts seemed to have been read by the other party.
"Click~"
The Red Death Demon disassembled his body and raised a small device.
Without him even needing to explain, Batman understood what he meant. This thing was probably some kind of high-tech device that could block Superman's senses or gaze.
So, should we fight?
Batman stared intently at the figure ahead.
I adjusted my goggles.
"beat."
The other party's answer was concise and clear.
"Then you can start."
Batman spoke in a low voice.
The Red Death Demon, however, did not take any action.
“I’m waiting for you to press the third hidden compartment in your belt. There’s a neurotoxin for speedsters hidden there. It can be used in conjunction with your stasis bomb, can’t it?”
Red Death stared at Batman.
It was as if they had already seen through Batman's mind and thoughts.
Hear the words.
Batman's pupils contracted sharply.
It's not because someone saw through me.
Rather, he had realized a terrible problem.
"Who are you!"
Batman pulled out a batarang and threw it. The strange fluctuations on it seemed to distort space, and in the blink of an eye, he was in front of Red Death.
"I told you, I am... Death!" Red Death raised his hand and grabbed the dart. The dart exploded, but he passed through the static force field attached to it and rushed directly towards Batman.
Speed Force bursts forth.
His figure blurred instantly.
It came rushing in like a red lightning bolt.
"Click!"
A miniature static force field generator was activated, and the space within a five-meter radius instantly froze. The Red Death Demon's speed dropped sharply, clearly indicating that this force field could also affect him.
but.
The speed is still very fast.
When the Red Death attacks, wielding a red dart, Batman dodges to the side and simultaneously throws three explosive batarangs to block the opponent's movement.
"Pointless."
Red Death Demon sneered.
His figure vanished the instant before he was hit.
It broke free from the force field's influence once again.
He appeared instantly behind Bruce, his dart sweeping towards the back of Bruce's neck. The dart collided with the armor's protective shield, and a burst of sparks exploded in the air.
Seize this opportunity.
Batman immediately delivered a backhand elbow strike, causing a burst of high-voltage electricity to erupt from the armor's gauntlets.
"boom!"
The Red Death Demon was forced back several steps.
His armor absorbed most of the damage.
"The armor is pretty tough."
Red Death Demon was somewhat surprised and shook his wrist.
"You stole technology from Star Labs."
Batman regained his footing.
"And you stole Luther's steel technology."
The Red Death retorted.
The two of them simultaneously activated the new system.
Batman's visors glowed blue—Anti-Speed Force visual mode. Red Death's suit displayed the bat emblem—it was Batman's tactical prediction AI!
Close-quarters combat erupted once more. Batman's every move was anticipated, but each prediction was countered by a new variation. As their fists and feet clashed, their armor constantly unleashed new functions.
A red electric whip materialized in the Red Death Demon's hand.
That's high voltage electricity.
It's not the Speed Force.
He slapped Batman hard across the chest.
However, instead of dodging, Batman suddenly spread his arms, and a specially made metal arm armor instantly unfolded, its surface covered with a high-density magnetic coating.
The electric current whips onto it, the energy is absorbed and converted, instantly exploding into a counter-attack arc!
"Boom~"
The Red Death Demon was knocked back several steps.
My body feels slightly numb.
A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
"Fancy."
Red Death Demon made his assessment.
"An idea from a comic book, isn't it useful?" Batman calmly replied. Then, he leaped up, activated his jet propulsion system, and used the momentum to close in on Red Death. In mid-air, he threw three sonic darts—each tuned to a different frequency, forming a cross-interference network.
They can disrupt a person's thinking.
The same applies to speedsters.
Red Death Demon's movements became noticeably sluggish.
but.
He didn't need to think now, because he had already calculated the trajectory. He quickly changed direction and easily dodged the first and second darts, but the third dart made his eyes narrow.
"wrong."
Red Death Demon spoke in a deep voice.
He suddenly realized that this was not a real attack.
The real killer move was a faint gravitational field hidden behind the third dart, which briefly stopped him for 0.3 seconds.
In those 0.3 seconds, Batman landed, quickly activating a special trap buried in the ground. The entire area was instantly filled with static force, hindering Red Death's movements once again.
"You even planned the terrain in advance?"
