Chapter 148 The First Night of the Vacation with Severus

The table was covered with various ingredients, including fresh vegetables, tender meats, and delicious seafood.

I carefully selected some ingredients that he liked and that I liked myself, and then I began cooking.

I first washed and chopped the vegetables, then stir-fried them in a pan until cooked.

Next, I cut the meat into small pieces, marinated it with soy sauce, cooking wine and cornstarch for a while, and then fried it in a pan until golden brown.

A gentle knock was made on the door of Severus's potions room.

"Ayers, come in, I didn't lock the door." Severus couldn't leave to open the door, so he just let me in.

"How much longer?" I opened the door and went inside, watching Severus busy in front of the crucible.

"Just one last step, almost done." Severus added the last ingredient to the potion, stirred the crucible, and when a wisp of white smoke appeared, he turned off the fire.

"Alright, I'll go get you some rice." Seeing that Severus had finished concocting the potion, I turned and left.

Back at the table, I filled one bowl with soup and the other with rice for Severus. Just as I was about to fill my own bowl, I saw Severus come out.

"Go wash your hands and eat." I finished serving myself and sat down to eat.

"This is a real feast tonight. I haven't seen you cook so many dishes in a long time." Severus hadn't had such a lavish dinner from me in a while, probably because he had angered me once before.

"Eat quickly." I smiled and put some food on his plate. He hadn't learned to use chopsticks yet, and was still using a fork and spoon to pick up food.

"Your cooking is especially delicious," Severus praised as he ate.

"Thank you for your compliment," I replied with a smile.

And so we slowly enjoyed our delicious dinner. After we finished eating, Severus even took on the task of washing the dishes.

I sat at the dining table, watching Severus wash the dishes from behind.

After Severus finished washing the dishes, we all went back to our rooms. There was no entertainment in the wizarding world; it felt really dull and boring.

When I came out of the shower, drying my hair with a towel, I heard a knocking sound coming from my bedroom door.

"What is it, Severus? What do you need me for?" Hearing the urgent knocking, I thought Severus had something urgent to tell me, so I opened the door without even changing my clothes.

“Ayers, I should be asking you that. I haven’t done anything to wrong you.” I was still confused when Severus walked in and hugged me tightly, questioning whether he had done something wrong.

"Severus, what's wrong with you?" I gently patted his back, trying to calm him down.

"When I got back to my room, it smelled of lilies. When I went to the bathroom, I even saw lily-scented shampoo. Did I do something wrong to make you hate me? Is that why you're treating me like this?" Severus muttered softly, his head resting on my shoulder. This was nothing like the serious and aloof Professor Snape from our school.

"Haha, I'm not blaming you for anything. These things are just extras I bought before that I didn't use, so they ended up in your room." I'm not going to say that I only went to draw the gift because I was blaming him, and that I didn't give it to him before, so I'm making up for it now.

“No, take them all away. I don’t like the smell.” Severus shook his head on my shoulder. He no longer had those feelings of love for Lily. He knew that he only saw Lily as a sister now. He tried smelling the love potion himself.

That was a faint scent of blue roses on Ayers; he probably didn't even know he smelled like one.

"Okay, I'll change it for you. What flavor do you want?" I never expected Severe to react so strongly.

“I don’t want any flavor at all.” Severus would never give a normal answer to this question.

"How about we change it to the scent of blue roses? I really like that scent." Since we're going to change it anyway, I might as well get one that I like. That way, Severus will be covered in my favorite scent, and it will be so pleasant to hug and smell him.

"Yes, as long as it doesn't smell like lilies."

Severus felt that changing the scent to blue roses was like having Ayers by his side all the time, which was still acceptable.

"I'll go and put it away for you first, and we'll go buy the blue rose scented one tomorrow." I let go of Sievert, grabbed an outer robe, and went to his room.

"Then I'll take a shower in your room first, and you go and tidy up." Severus watched me leave and went straight into my bathroom, intending to wash off the scent of the perfume immediately, as he really didn't like having any fragrance on him these days.

"Okay, give it to me." Severus opened the toilet door, revealing an extremely white arm.
