Chapter 213: The Rise of the Chaos Core
Chapter 213: The Rise of the Chaos Core
The figure sneered, its voice as chilling as the wind: "I am the guardian of destiny, the last barrier at the source of destiny. And you traitors who attempt to destroy destiny must pay the price for your choices!"
Mira was taken aback: "Guardian of Fate? Shouldn't you be the one protecting the balance of the universe? Why are you stopping us now?"
The Guardian of Fate's laughter was filled with contempt: "The balance of the universe? You ignorant fools think freedom is balance? Your choices have torn apart the rules of the universe, and the very foundation of fate is collapsing. If it weren't for your stupidity, all of this could have been avoided!"
The guide stood aside, his face grave: "Guardian of Fate, I once stood with you to protect destiny, but today's situation is an outcome neither of us can reverse. The conflict between freedom and rules has long been beyond our control. Isaac and Mira's choice is the only chance for the universe to be reborn."
"Rebirth?" The Guardian of Fate scoffed, his icy gaze sweeping over Isaac and Mira. "All I see is destruction. Since you intend to disrupt fate, I will erase you completely!"
Before he finished speaking, he swung his spear fiercely, and a terrifying blade of light ripped through the void, heading straight for Isaac and Mira. Isaac quickly raised the Blade of Rules to block the light, but the force still forced him back several steps.
"Such powerful strength!" Isaac thought to himself in shock. "His power doesn't seem to come from chaos, but from some ancient rule."
Mira swiftly swung her light blade, deflecting the Guardian of Fate's next attack, while warily saying, "Isaac, be careful! His power seems to directly influence the trajectory of fate; we cannot rashly confront him head-on."
Just as the battle reached a stalemate, the star chart trembled again, and countless new cracks suddenly appeared. Each crack carried a strong fluctuation, as if it were gradually tearing the star chart into pieces.
The guide's expression changed drastically: "This is bad! The trajectory of fate is collapsing further. If these cracks spread, the dimensions of the entire universe will be completely severed!"
The Guardian of Fate glared at the Guide: "All of this is because you betrayed the source of fate! Now, you still want to help these traitors? You have fallen!"
Isaac's gaze was cold and stern. He quickly glanced at the star map and thought to himself, "The spread of these cracks seems to follow a pattern... If we can find the center of the cracks, perhaps we can stop them from spreading further."
"Mira, we have to find the core of the rift!" Isaac shouted, swinging the Blade of Rules to block the Guardian of Fate's attack once again.
"Don't even think about it!" the Guardian of Fate roared, his figure transforming into a black lightning bolt as he lunged at the Star Chart. He seemed intent on utterly destroying the Star Chart, reducing all traces of destiny to ashes.
At the critical moment, the Guide intervened. He summoned a golden wall of light, blocking the Guardian of Fate's attack: "Guardian of Fate, that's enough! You cannot undo everything by destroying the star map; your obsession will only plunge the universe into deeper chaos!"
The Guardian of Fate sneered: "You think you still have the right to stop me? You have long since lost the protection of fate. Today, I will make you pay the price for your betrayal!"
Just as the two sides were fiercely clashing, a dazzling light suddenly erupted from the center of the star chart. A new crack appeared on the star chart, which not only brought stronger fluctuations but also released a completely new aura—a power intertwined with chaos and order.
Isaac and Mira both sensed this aura, their eyes filled with shock.
“This is…” Mira whispered, “a combination of chaos and fate?”
The guide's expression also turned solemn: "The cracks in the star chart are not merely out-of-control trajectories of fate; they may conceal a greater secret. The combination of fate and chaos may be the only key to saving the universe."
However, a strange, cold smile flashed across the Guardian of Fate's face: "Don't you understand? This power is not the key to salvation, but the call to destruction. It will devour everything and bury your so-called order completely!"
As his words fell, the cracks on the star map began to expand wildly, and a huge black shadow emerged from the cracks, carrying an even more terrifying sense of oppression. Its appearance plunged the entire space into complete chaos.
"What is that?" Mira's voice trembled slightly.
“A new enemy.” Isaac gripped the Blade of Rules tightly, his eyes blazing. “We must be prepared. No matter how great the danger ahead, we cannot retreat!”
The dark shadow emerging from the crack slowly coalesced into a form, its outline blurred yet enormous, emanating an aura that transcended time and space. Unlike the oppressive aura of the Lord of Chaos, this power was colder and more profound, seemingly belonging to no known dimension.
"What...is this?" Mira suppressed her fear, gripped the light blade tightly, and stared warily at the dark figure.
“This power is completely different from Chaos and Fate,” Isaac said in a low voice, his Blade of Rules trembling slightly as if sensing the threat of this unknown existence. “It may be a new form that emerged from the collision of Fate and Chaos, transcending the rules we are familiar with.”
The silhouette of the shadowy figure gradually became clearer, its form resembling a floating mountain, radiating endless energy fluctuations. It had no face, only a massive halo revolving around it. Different symbols constantly emerged within the halo, each symbol seeming to record fragments of some cosmic law.
The guide's expression turned solemn, and he said in a low voice, "This is the embodiment of the Chaos Core, the extreme intersection of Chaos and Destiny. We have opened the crack in the star map and awakened this long-sealed power."
"The Chaos Core?" Isaac's gaze sharpened slightly. "Is this the true source of the Star Chart Cracks?"
The guide nodded, looking at Isaac with a complex expression: "Yes, the Chaos Core should have been sealed within the star map, carrying all the out-of-control trajectories and forces of the universe. Once it fully awakens, the entire multidimensional universe will completely lose its balance."
The halo around the Chaos Core suddenly stopped spinning, and then a deep voice emanated from within it, a whisper that seemed to pierce the soul: "Isaac, Mira, you... have finally arrived."
Isaac gripped the Blade of Rules tightly and replied coldly, "Who are you? Why do you know our names?"
The Chaos Core did not answer directly, but continued in its deep voice: "You have broken the shackles of fate and reshaped order, but have you ever considered that your choices are tearing apart the balance between dimensions? What you have created is nothing more than a far deeper chaos."
Mira asked warily, "What exactly are you trying to say? What does your existence mean?"
