Chapter 75, Part 1: Night Patrol
Chapter 75 Night Patrol Together
Several hours later, on the rooftop of a building.
"Aren't you going to eat something? It won't taste as good if it gets cold later."

Jung Eun swallowed the spicy hot dog she was chewing, then happily took a big gulp of the cola she had wrapped around her knees, slurping the plastic cup with a loud whooshing sound.
He sat cross-legged on the head of the Water Drop Beast, while Batman crouched down on another Water Drop Beast nearby, looking into the distance.
Gotham at night is quieter and more peaceful than during the day, with old buildings of varying heights undulating and winding through them like a sheep's intestines.
Beyond the dilapidated eastern district, looking further into the distance, towering buildings and twinkling lights shimmered, the dark night blurring the boundary between the city and the sky, like a skirt hanging down from above.
The cool night breeze lifted the bottom of the cloak, causing it to curl slightly in mid-air.
Zheng En's hands were itching to grab a corner of the cape when he met Batman's disapproving gaze.
Jung Eun reluctantly withdrew her hand. "Don't be so petty. We've been on night patrol together, after all."
Who agreed to go on night patrol with you?
The white goggles clearly revealed the other party's doubts, but Zheng En pretended not to see them and resolutely refused to mention that she had nothing better to do than follow Batman around and join in the fun.
A few hours earlier, GCPD police cars arrived at the factory based on the location sent by Batman, and took the robbers, who were lying on the ground, into custody.
Zheng En watched the whole thing from next to Batman. Seeing that the other man got into the Batmobile and was about to drive away without paying any attention to him, he couldn't sit still any longer. He floated around the Batmobile with a bamboo dragonfly on his head.
"Hey, you're not planning to just pack up and run away after this is all over, are you?"
In order to keep her eyes level with Batman, Jung Eun sat cross-legged next to him, floating by the car window.
Batman wasn't an enthusiastic superhero, nor did he invite him to sit in the passenger seat. When Jung Eun spoke to him, he barely responded.
Then a child shouted from upstairs, "Mommy! I saw Batman! And he had a vengeful spirit with him!"
He managed to squeeze out the words through gritted teeth, "Don't follow me."
Jung Eun: "Hehe."
It's no use saying anything.
Batman couldn't get rid of him, so he could only pretend he didn't see him. He was busy with his night patrol and didn't have the energy to waste on Zheng En.
Zheng En wasn't just causing trouble; when Batman needed to go undercover, he would hide himself until he felt the other needed his help.
For example, disrupting gang deals or beating up robbers.
Although Batman could handle those people without him, the price he would pay would be much higher.
After all, unlike Superman's invincible body, Batman is just a mortal inside his shell.
He has no eyes in the back of his head; no matter how experienced he is in combat, he will inevitably encounter situations where he is ambushed.
Out of the corner of his eye, Batman caught a glimpse of the iron rod hurtling toward his head, but before he could dodge, he braced himself for the blow, only to see the rod being stopped first.
A figure draped in black robes stood behind, blocking the attack coming from behind.
Upon seeing his face, the opponent immediately let out a scream.

The immense impact deeply shocked the unknown gang.

[Defeat in the confrontation]
The presence, seemingly a vengeful spirit, dealt a severe blow to the mind of the unknown gangster. He was momentarily dazed, and taking advantage of this opportunity, Zheng En punched him so hard that he saw stars.
After that, Batman tacitly accepted Jung Eun's help.
Zheng En followed Batman around Gotham all night, and by midnight, he had already completed all the daily tasks for the next day.
Batman's night patrols begin and end in the East End.
On the way back, Jung Eun saw the burger shop that was still open, with the sign that only sold hot dogs at night still standing at the door.
"Wait for me."
He left a message for Batman and flew towards the burger joint, stopping at the entrance and pulling down his hood to go inside.
When he came out again, he was carrying a bag of hot dogs.
Looking into the distance, you can soon spot the figure perched on the water droplet beast on the rooftop, with two pointed ears on its head and a long black cloak hanging down, swaying in the wind.
After walking a distance, Zheng En took flight and landed on another water droplet beast next to Batman.
The rustling sound of the plastic bag caught Batman's attention. Jung Eun grabbed a hot dog and shoved it in front of him. "Have some late-night snacks!"
He remained silent for a moment, then put away the hot dog under Jung Eun's gaze.
Zheng En chuckled, "Since you've accepted my midnight snack, tell me about the robbers."
This is a forced sale, but Batman doesn't care.
He glanced at Zheng En, then recounted the events again, adding details that couldn't be obtained from the robbers.
That's the part that can only be known from Bruce's perspective.
Jung Eun sighed at the internal strife within the company, then slurped up his cola with loud slurping, harassing Batman as he ate, "Try it, I eat here all the time, it's really good."
Batman sighed and tore open the hot dog packaging.
Although he could play dumb and lie to Jung En without any scruples when he was Bruce, he didn't know how to get along with him when he took on the identity of Batman.
This was the first time he had been exposed since becoming Batman. Even though he had previously considered the possibility that the other party knew his identity, the fact that it had come true still left him with mixed feelings.
Bruce didn't expect his identity to be discovered so quickly.
It has been less than six months since he first appeared in Gotham as Batman.
He hasn't been able to eradicate the city's biggest gang, nor has he been able to bring Klein, who calls himself the Scarecrow, to justice.
He still has a lot to do.
Bruce was suddenly struck on the cheek by something cold. He snapped out of his daze and met Jung Eun's mischievous grin. "How can you eat a hot dog without iced cola?"
Seeing Batman take the Coke, he continued, "If you think too much while eating, you won't even be able to taste it."
Zheng En had no idea what this newly debuted local Batman was thinking, but even a superhero should give himself some time to enjoy a meal.
Especially after a long and tiring night.
Batman stared at Jung Eun for a moment before taking a big bite, mimicking her actions.
The sausages, crispy on the hot plate, are so tender they burst with juice; the vegetables are crunchy; the cheese adds flavor; even the bread is heated on the hot plate, making it soft and fluffy.
The spicy sauce adds a unique flavor to the hot dog, making your mouth and stomach feel hot.
As the food was consumed, the warmth seemed to soften the body, which had been chilled and stiffened by the wind.
