Chapter 108 The Silver-Haired Pokémon Hunter
Chapter 108 The Silver-Haired Pokémon Hunter
Li Shuwen looked at the one-horned rhinoceros and couldn't help but shake his head. Why did you provoke her?
Didn't you know that she was able to pull Tauros by the tail and drag him around when she was only eight years old?
You're just a tiny one-horned rhinoceros, how dare you go against her?
In the office area at the gate of the wilderness area, a staff member responsible for watching the surveillance cameras happened to see this scene.
I couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of coffee, almost breaking the machine.
He picked up the walkie-talkie. "Mr. Octavian, I've encountered a situation here that might require your intervention."
Octavian went into the monitoring room and watched the surveillance footage of Li Meining retrieving the one-horned rhinoceros.
With an expression of appreciation in his eyes, he asked, "Are there rules in our Wild Area that prohibit trainers from using their own power to capture Pokémon?"
"I remember we could feed them snacks, throw mud, and use fishing rods, right? The little girl didn't even use those things, so what's wrong with that?"
Octavian thought for a moment, and realized that the handsome red-haired man who had led the group was even slightly more attractive than Octavian himself had been in his youth.
It seems he was a prospective headmaster of some dojo.
The gym leader takes his students to the wild to catch Pokémon; he really knows how to save money.
Li Meining, with one foot on a rhinoceros horn, waved excitedly, "Brother, can you bring me the field ball?"
Li Shuwen carried the basket over, and as expected, after being knocked unconscious, Li Meining successfully subdued the one-horned rhinoceros.
Having tasted success, Li Meining planned to replicate the method.
Using her superhuman strength, she filled the remaining twenty-two field balls.
Li Shuwen flicked her forehead. "Do you really think you're here to buy goods? Don't try to catch every Pokémon you see. Choose the ones you think are worth training."
Li Meining blinked. "But I think each one looks like it's worth taming."
Li Shuwen clenched his fist. "You caught over twenty Pokémon at once? Can you even raise them all? You'll just leave them at home for me to take care of!"
"You've had your fun taming them, but what about me and Kai left at home?"
Li Meining scratched her head awkwardly. "Then I'll just use the usual method and throw a Field Ball. If I encounter a Pokémon I really like, I can always try to catch it myself, right?"
Li Shuwen nodded. "That's fine."
The three continued forward, and Shinji suddenly became serious.
He took out a field ball and threw it at the yellow duck in front of him.
"Psyduck, Shinji, you have great taste!"
Psyduck covered its head and nimbly ran two steps forward, just in time to avoid the field ball.
Li Meining chuckled, "Shinji, you can't even throw a Poké Ball accurately. Who's the unprofessional trainer here?"
Li Shuwen explained, "It's not that Shinji's basic skills are lacking, it's that this Psyduck has very strong mental power, which allows it to perceive changes in its surroundings."
Psyduck, which is not a psychic, often gets a headache from its active psychic powers.
This Psyduck, however, appears to be able to manipulate mental power to some extent.
Shinji was able to spot Psyduck's talent at a glance; his eyesight is truly exceptional.
Shinji throws out the field ball again, and Psyduck twists and turns, dodging all eight field balls Shinji throws out.
Finally, Shinji threw the decisive ninth field ball.
A perfect shot at Psyduck!
Psyduck was captured by the field and did not struggle to escape.
It seemed as if they had accepted Shinji as their trainer.
Li Meining's eyes widened. "You actually managed to set a trap for Psyduck using a Poké Ball? That's impressive!"
Shinji stepped forward, picked up the Field Ball, and said calmly, "To catch Pokémon, brute force alone isn't enough; you have to learn to use your intelligence."
Li Meining pursed her lips as a flock of blue cottonbirds flew across the sky.
Li Meining pointed excitedly at them, "Brother, let's go tame the Blue Cottonbird!"
With its adorable appearance and beautiful singing voice, few girls can resist the allure of the blue-winged bird.
Li Shuwen turned to ask, "Shinji, what do you think?"
Shinji nodded. "Okay, let's go check out the forest ahead. We might encounter some interesting bird Pokémon."
As soon as I entered the forest, a swarm of shuttlecock grass flew out in front of me.
Seeing her adorable appearance, Li Meining threw the ball without hesitation.
Successfully captured a shuttlecock grass.
Continuing forward, she saw a group of mushrooms, and Li Meining couldn't resist taking out her Field Ball.
Try to distinguish carefully, in order to find the best mushroom to capture.
Li Shuwen pointed to a mushroom that was carrying fruit, its steps light and its movements agile.
"Take him in."
Li Meining immediately threw a Poké Ball, but Mushroom jumped and narrowly dodged it.
Li Meining threw again, sending out two field balls in one go.
With precise technique, the shot hit the mushroom's body directly.
Seeing that Mushroom had been captured, Li Meining said proudly, "With skillful techniques, you can capture Pokémon without setting traps!"
Suddenly, an angry roar came from afar.
Then came a violent explosion!
All the bird Pokémon in the forest were startled by the explosion and fled away from the direction of the sound.
Li Shuwen raised an eyebrow. "You two wait here. I'll go check it out."
Li Shuwen left quickly.
Li Meining's eyes darted around. "Shinji, we're all trainers. When something happens, how can we just sit here and wait!"
Shinji said calmly, "I don't want to cause trouble. Judging from the sound of the explosion, it wasn't a Pokémon move, but a bomb."
"It's highly likely that a Pokémon hunter has wandered into the wild and is eyeing some rare Pokémon."
Li Meining became even more excited, "Then we definitely have to go see it!"
Seeing that Shinji remained unmoved, Li Meining directly challenged him: "Are you scared? How can you become an excellent trainer if you're so afraid?"
"Don't you want to see what kind of Pokémon it is? Since it's a Wild Area Pokémon, we can catch it with a Wild Ball."
"That's how we challenge the Kanto Alliance and get good results, right? If you don't dare to go, then I'll go alone."
Shinji glanced at her. "Let's go."
Li Meining smiled smugly and led the way in chasing after Li Shuwen.
Shinji was worried that Li Meining would foolishly rush over and get hurt.
With him watching from the sidelines, Li Meining was at least unlikely to get hurt.
Li Shuwen ran out of the forest and saw a valley.
Above the valley, a giant salamander was circling incessantly.
Every now and then, it spews out scorching flames into the valley below.
In the valley, a young woman with silver hair is commanding a dragon scorpion to fight a salamander.
On the woman's wrist was a transmitter.
Every now and then, it would fire an ice-blue bullet at the salamander.
In her arms, she was holding a sleeping baby dragon.
Li Shuwen squatted in the corner, took out a Poké Ball, and said, "Gallade, use Psychic to snatch the Beast Dragon from her."
Gallade appears, its eyes emitting blue light as it aims at the Beast.
Suddenly, the silver-haired woman felt a great force coming from her, and the precious dragon in her hand flew out and landed in the hands of a handsome red-haired man.
As soon as Baby Dragon was released, the Salamander immediately stopped spewing flames.
His body was enveloped in dragon-shaped flames, radiating boundless killing intent, as he swooped down at top speed toward the silver-haired woman.
The silver-haired woman threw a smoke bomb, which exploded into a cloud of smoke that covered most of the valley.
The salamander rushed into the smoke and then quickly rose into the air.
It flapped its blood-red wings and blew away the smoke.
The silver-haired woman and the Dragon King Scorpion had vanished, leaving only a large hole in their place.
Li Shuwen used his wave-guided power to heal the sleeping baby dragon in his hands.
The salamander turned its head and stared at Li Shuwen, letting out an angry dragon roar!
Li Shuwen gently placed the precious dragon on the ground, spread his hands, and took a few steps back to indicate to the salamander that he meant no harm.
The salamander landed in front of the baby dragon and licked it with its tongue. The baby dragon slowly woke up and excitedly ran around its mother, even trying to climb onto her back.
