The battlefield in China has entered a fierce stage.
Earth's technology appears incredibly fragile in the face of the steel torrent of gluttons and demons.
Under the cover of night, in a building that had been bombed down to only half its walls, several figures leaned against the broken walls.
Ge Xiaolun was panting heavily. His black armor was covered in scratches, and his face was stained with dried blood and dust.
"Master Xin, Chuangzi."
Zhao Xin grinned, revealing two rows of white teeth, but his smile betrayed his weariness.
"Xiao Lun, you're really lucky to be alive."
Liu Chuang took a swig of a can of beer he'd picked up from who-knows-where, and the bitter taste of malt spread through his mouth.
"Being able to see it alive is a fucking good thing."
In these precarious days, the reunion with comrades-in-arms is the only solace.
Ge Xiaolun snatched the beer from Liu Chuang's hand and took a big gulp.
The cool liquid slid down his throat, easing his tense nerves slightly.
"Our Super Soldier Company is down to just a few of us now."
One sentence instantly cooled down the atmosphere that had just begun to heat up.
Liu Chuang remained silent for a moment, then crushed the empty beer can and threw it on the ground.
"If Instructor Lin Ci were here, that would be great."
He muttered something, not loudly, but clearly heard by everyone.
"If he were here, we would have been beaten to a pulp?"
Because everyone knows that what Liu Chuang said is true.
That man was the epitome of invincibility in their hearts.
In the corner, Rui Mengmeng hugged her knees, her greatsword resting beside her.
She looked up at Qilin, who was wiping her sniper rifle with a cloth not far away.
"Sister Qilin, aren't you closest to Instructor Lin Ci?"
"You don't know when he'll be back either?"
Qi Lin paused for a moment while wiping the gun barrel.
Her cheeks were slightly flushed in the dim firelight.
"Don't talk nonsense."
Zhao Xin immediately perked up, came over, and started making faces and egging him on.
"Oh, are you still shy? Sister Qilin, we can all see that you and Instructor Lin Ci are having an affair."
Liu Chuang also joined in the clamor.
"Exactly! Instructor Lin Ci is a real man, he deserves you!"
He abruptly changed the subject, a lewd smile spreading across his face.
"But then again, you said he's an alien, so can aliens and humans... have children?"
Before he could finish speaking, a crushed empty can hit Liu Chuang squarely on the forehead.
It made a loud "bang," it didn't hurt, but it was very loud.
Qi Lin withdrew her hand, her face cold.
"If you keep talking nonsense, you'll be in trouble when Lin Ci comes back."
"Hahaha!"
Everyone laughed.
The heavy atmosphere was lightened considerably by this joke.
They knew it was a joke, but they still sincerely wished Qilin and that powerful man well.
Liu Chuang rubbed his forehead and chuckled foolishly.
"I don't know where Rose is now, or Sister Na either."
"If we add Instructor Lin Ci to the two of them, then our Super Soldier Company will be complete."
"Have you forgotten Brother Monkey?"
Zhao Xin took over the conversation.
"Isn't Monkey King with Little Fox on Flower Fruit Mountain? They've had a tough time too."
"I heard that demons attack their place every day, but Monkey King is stronger than all of us, so he can definitely protect Little Fox."
After a short rest, everyone dispersed and returned to their respective posts.
Ge Xiaolun stood alone on the rooftop of an abandoned building, looking up at the night sky.
The moon was round, and its cool light shone on the ruins, coating the dead city with a layer of silver frost.
He thought of the rose.
I wonder how she is now.
As he was lost in thought, he suddenly noticed that the moon in the sky seemed to have gotten bigger.
No, it's not an illusion.
The full moon was rapidly enlarging in his pupils at a speed visible to the naked eye.
That's not the moon!
It was an unidentified object hurtling toward the ground at incredible speed!
Chapter 136 I've Come to Wait for God
Ge Xiaolun was about to send an alarm via communicator.
The blazing white ball of light hurtled down, whistling as it tore through the air, and crashed heavily into the center of the plaza not far away.
The enormous impact sent up clouds of dust.
Ge Xiaolun's heart was in his throat. He gripped his greatsword tightly and stared intently at the center of the billowing smoke.
The smoke slowly dispersed.
Ge Xiaolun was stunned.
He saw two figures.
It was a humanoid creature with pure white wings.
They were tall and wore silver, form-fitting short skirts and armor that accentuated their perfect curves.
Her face was so exquisitely beautiful it was almost unreal, breathtakingly so.
One of them had a look in his eyes that was both lazy and scrutinizing.
The other one appeared more quiet and serious.
They floated silently in mid-air, their huge wings flapping slowly behind them.
The holy light shone down, standing out starkly against the surrounding ruins.
Is this... an angel?
Ge Xiaolun, a virgin for over twenty years, had his brain instantly shut down.
He opened his mouth, but couldn't utter a single word; his cheeks flushed red.
The blonde angel noticed him, a playful smile curving her lips. In a flash, she appeared in front of Ge Xiaolun.
A faint, sweet fragrance wafted into my nostrils.
"You are the Galactic Force, Ge Xiaolun?"
Her voice was very pleasant, with a touch of magnetism and a hint of subtle flirtation.
Ge Xiaolun nodded subconsciously, still unable to speak.
Angel Yan flew around him once, as if examining an interesting item.
"Tsk tsk, ten thousand years have passed, and I never thought I could still smell the scent of angels on you."
"Yan, stop playing around."
The black-haired angel flew over and reminded them in a serious tone.
"We are here to carry out a mission."
Angel Yan shrugged dismissively.
Ge Xiaolun finally found his voice and asked in a stammering voice.
"What...what are you doing here?"
Yan turned around to face him, her expression becoming more serious.
"To uphold justice in the universe."
She paused, her deep blue eyes fixed on Ge Xiaolun.
“I ask you, have you heard that I, God, the Lord of all gods, once visited your Earth and served as your instructor?”
"is this real?"
Ge Xiaolun immediately realized what was happening and nodded vigorously.
"It's true! Instructor Lin Ci did indeed teach us!"
Having received confirmation, Yan and Zhixin exchanged a glance and nodded.
The playfulness on Yan's face vanished completely, replaced by a deep respect.
"That's good."
