In the darkest night of the main universe, Sinestro, the leader of the Yellow Lantern Legion, found the White Lantern Beast "Spirit of Existence" existing on Earth, and the Spirit of Existence is the nemesis of the Black Lanterns.

He was once the greatest Green Lantern, but he was afraid. He was afraid that Hal Jordan would surpass him after possessing the power of the White Lantern Ring, and he was afraid that he would no longer be unique after sharing this gift with others.
But it was too late for regrets now; all was lost. To live in humiliation was worse than suicide. So Sinestro attempted suicide with the White Lantern Ring amidst countless Black Lantern corpses. However, he failed to die; possessed by the White Lantern, he couldn't even truly die.
Sinestro had just died, and half of his body was controlled by the Black Lantern. He became a half-alive, half-dead being, half White Lantern and half Black Lantern. Even his abilities changed. Chen Tao, of course, wouldn't allow him to do that. He was still contemplating the tragic life of the Berserker Bat, completely unaware that to outsiders he appeared to be standing there blankly, like an NPC who had lost control of someone else.
Then the wolf's voice followed:
"Batman, are you fucking stupid? Standing there like that, did Maxwell Lord mess with your brain?"
Chen Tao snapped out of his daze and glared at the wolf.
How dare you speak like that?
Be careful, or I might pin you to the Origin Wall and use you as the guiding energy source for the Creation Wave.
"It's all over, Wolf," Chen Tao said. "While you were lying in bed sleeping, I finished dealing with Maxiville Lord. You know, if you weren't involved in the operation, you shouldn't have gotten a share of the money or any spoils. Maxiville Lord now belongs to me, and you have no right to touch my spoils."
Chen Tao asked, "This isn't your first day as a mercenary, is it?"
"Yes." Wolfman stared at Batman for a moment, then reluctantly admitted with a smirk, "You helped me get rid of Maxwell Lord's voodoo trick. Although Maxwell Lord didn't make me do anything I wouldn't normally do, a true man of steel won't be manipulated by anyone. So I owe you a favor."
Wolf lit a cigar, walked up to Batman, and stubbed it out on the man's chest armor.
"So this also means that if you have work to do, no matter how crazy or insane it is."
