Aaron spoke, shaking his head and lowering his brows.
"She—couldn't hold on."
Upon hearing this, Natalie froze in her seat.
Anne shook her arm hard, but she didn't react.
After a long while, she finally came to her senses and sighed:
"I see—"
Natalie then asked, "Did she ask you to give me a message?"
Aaron nodded: "Two sentences, 'I love you,' and 'I'm sorry I can't take you to the Forest of Capello.'"
Natalie tilted her head back and stared at the ceiling for a moment.
After she lowered her head, she smiled at Aaron:
"I understand, thank you, curator."
She's become stronger, Aaron thought, and she's matured quite a bit too.
He nodded and asked:
What are your plans for the future?
"Director, I was just about to tell you," Natalie said earnestly, looking at Aaron. "I'm currently unable to move around easily, but there's probably no safer place than your library. Director, could we stay here for a few months? Of course, we'll pay!"
"Yes," Aaron nodded.
He couldn't have been happier, because this way he could have more contact with Pegasus and take the opportunity to sell banned books.
