Peter didn't know what Otto had done, but he was certain of one thing: Otto had succeeded.
The venom that was symbiotically with him erupted in unprecedented pain, then surged and evaporated continuously. Peter could feel the venom gradually leaving his body. This departure was almost unstoppable, to the point that he could feel a kind of cleansing sensation—it seemed that every cell was completely expelling the venom and physically severing the symbiosis between Peter and the venom.
Otto didn't say much to Peter, and jumped out of the helicopter. He watched as the helicopter free-falled and exploded. Everyone else inside was definitely not going to survive, but what about Spider-Man?
Peter struggled to his feet, the symbiote churning around him. Venom seemed to have truly become a garment, unable to maintain the symbiotic relationship. He staggered out of the flames and then saw Otto falling from the sky.
"Damn it! You damn bug! What have you done?!"
Otto roared as he crashed heavily to the ground. He had jumped out of the plane intending to witness Spider-Man fall half to his death, but suddenly found himself out of control and plummeting straight down. Peter, emerging from the flames, told Otto what had happened.
"Here's a little gift for you, Doctor. Do you like it?" Peter looked at Otto. Venom could no longer coexist with him and had to merge with his Speed Suit, so it could no longer provide Peter with any enhancements. However, Otto was not feeling much better at the moment.
"A contact-based electronic virus that attempts to infect and paralyze the electronic nervous system on your prosthetic limb once it starts attacking me. This would normally be non-lethal if you hadn't chosen to attack me from the helicopter."
Peter charged at Otto as he spoke, yelling, "You're completely insane! You don't care how many people you're going to kill!"
"They don't matter at all!" Otto babbled incoherently as he collapsed to the ground. "I saw the truth! They don't matter at all! Rhino!"
Before Peter could even ponder what Otto's ramblings meant, the real Rhino Man burst out of some unknown building. If the Rhino Man's metallic skin and exoskeleton in the past resembled a humanoid armored vehicle, then this one looked like a humanoid armored train.
The metallic skin on his body appeared to have diminished, replaced by a thick, seemingly unpowered exoskeleton that rammed directly into Peter. Peter dodged the rhino's charge with a backflip, then used his spider silk to attach himself to the rhino's back. While attempting to disable the armor by channeling his bioelectricity, Peter questioned the rhino.
"Stop! Alexei! Stop! You, Otto, and Scorpion aren't the same kind of people!"
"I can't stop!" Rhino charged down the side of the street, sending numerous cars, already powered down by Electro's electromagnetic storm, flying through the air. "Octavia healed my wife, I can't stop!"
"Does your wife want to see you like this?!"
"At least she'll survive!"
Rhino grabbed Spider-Man from his back and threw him away. Peter reattached Rhino with his webs in mid-air, then used the conductive webs to release a powerful electric current, which then stuck to two cars whose drivers had already fled and slammed them down onto Rhino.
The Rhino tried to stop them, but found that the two cars were completely stuck to his body, and then more. The electric current Peter had just released, and the current released on his back, were restraint devices specifically designed for the Rhino—as long as his metal skin wasn't removed, Peter could design a solution based on the samples left behind by Osborn Technology to temporarily turn his body into an electromagnet, allowing a large amount of metal to restrain his movements.
He had taken care of two, but there were still four to go. Thinking this, he looked up at the Electro in the sky. The Electro was currently the most dangerous enemy. The electronic storm had almost paralyzed all the equipment in New York, especially government departments and hospitals, which required a lot of electricity to keep running.
Fortunately, the Speed Suit was already on his body. Peter took a deep breath and used his bioelectricity to temporarily power the Speed Suit, running at supersonic speed across the wall before lunging at Electro in the air.
The electric man vanished in an instant, and the next second, Peter was thrown into an office building by something.
"Hey Spider-Man, you don't actually think I'm slow, do you?" Electro reformed in front of Peter, then burst into laughter: "That's because I wasn't full at all! You and your damn hamster were dealing with a completely off-me! Now, I have everything I need! Octopus and Rhino can't handle you, but I... I'll take your life!"
"You're right, but is it possible that I actually knew you weren't at your best last time?"
Peter said, sitting up. "And I knew you were going to ramble on here. Look behind you, Max."
Electro looked behind him, bewildered. A spiderweb had been woven behind him when Spider-Man crashed into him, and as he turned around, Peter Parker quickly retracted the web. Electro grinned wickedly, transforming into countless bolts of electricity, intending to pass through the gaps in the web. However, he crashed hard into the web, became firmly bound, and let out a wail.
"What is this?!"
"Anti-Cyclone web? You're kidding. I had Magneto research ways to deal with you, and now you can't interfere with New York's electricity." Peter said, placing his hand on Electro inside the web. "Now, please recharge me."
"Don't come any closer!"
A few dozen seconds later, Spider-Man emerged from the cave fully recovered and counted the remaining people.
"There are three left. Although Mysterio and Scorpion have upgraded, at least I know the direction of their upgrades, so I have at least one way to deal with them. Sandman has been modified by Velasco. Strange, Velasco theoretically shouldn't be able to enter Earth 616. How exactly did he modify Sandman... Oh."
The image displayed by the sonar differed from what Peter saw once again, and Peter knew that Mysterio's hallucination had returned.
