Chapter 51: A Special Plot Pre-Ordered

Chapter 51: A Special Plot Pre-Ordered

After midnight, the Gryffindor common room gradually returned to its quiet state. Fred and George went upstairs to sleep, and Ginny touched the chair Hermione often sat in before going upstairs with a touch of melancholy.

Only Harry and Ron were still dawdling over tidying up the cards, and even slowly tidying up the messy chairs in the common room, which was not their usual style.

Leila was still flipping through tomorrow's textbook, seemingly preparing for her lessons. As she turned the pages, she could sense the other two boys in the lounge glancing at her from time to time.

It seemed the two boys wouldn't make a move unless she left. Leila stood up, stretched, hugged a large stack of books, said goodnight to them, and could still feel their gazes on her as she walked up the stairs.

"Merlin, Lyra's finally gone to bed." Ron breathed a sigh of relief. "I was just worried she'd be staying up all night studying. Dude, what were you trying to tell me?"

“Lyra told me that she and the twins saw a lot of spiders in the Forbidden Forest, all of them that had come from the castle,” Harry said. “We could put on our invisibility cloaks and go look for some in the Forbidden Forest; tonight would be perfect.”

Ron remembered that Spider's expression wasn't good, but he turned to look at the empty seat where Hermione usually sat. Hermione would usually do her homework while watching them play cards, but now it was empty.

This scene seemed to solidify his resolve. Ron swallowed hard and nodded.

The two quietly returned to their dormitory to retrieve their invisibility cloaks, then went to great lengths to evade the patrolling teachers, eventually slipping out of the castle gates and crossing the lawn into the depths of the forbidden forest.

Lyra lay on her bed in the dorm room, examining the magical map provided by the twins with a flashlight.

Okay, its original name was the Marauder's Map, but Lyra really thought the map was amazing because it showed the location of everyone in Hogwarts.

She then saw Professor McGonagall pacing around her office, Filch wandering near the Great Hall, Professor Flitwick patrolling the fourth floor, Professor Snape in the cellar... Most of the students were resting in their dormitories, including herself.

As for Harry and Ron, they're currently wandering around in the Forbidden Forest.

Lyra didn't plan to go to the Forbidden Forest with the two of them. Firstly, she didn't like spiders, and secondly, she believed that Harry and Ron must have done a lot of research on the Chamber of Secrets' heir in private. If she were there, it wouldn't be convenient for the two of them to communicate. Besides, Hagrid's clues were clearly left for Harry and Ron.

But what Headmaster Dumbledore said at the end...

Lyra noticed early on that Headmaster Dumbledore was overly anxious and attentive to Harry. While Harry was indeed the boy who had survived a great ordeal, Dumbledore wasn't the kind of headmaster who would treat students based on their reputation.

Lyra recalled what had happened at school last year: Harry and his two friends had protected the Philosopher's Stone. It was said that the three of them had bravely overcome numerous obstacles set by the professors, fighting against the Dark Wizard to protect the precious and rare Philosopher's Stone.

During the summer vacation, she heard Ron recount his experiences and could vaguely sense that those so-called challenges were specifically designed to train Harry. They were meant to be challenging enough without actually harming the group, preventing them from failing completely from the start, not to mention that the challenges happened to be related to the three of them's strengths.

But the question is, why would Headmaster Dumbledore secretly train Harry?

Aside from his role as the savior, Harry is just like any other ordinary first-grader boy. He might dislike a subject because he hates a teacher, play pranks with his friends, slack off on homework, get nervous about exams, and strive for the honor of his school. He has strengths and weaknesses...

Therefore, Harry was indeed valued and secretly groomed by the greatest white wizard of the time because of his special identity as the savior.

If we think about it further, since Harry had already defeated the Dark Lord and restored peace to the wizarding world, why did Dumbledore still secretly train Harry, the savior?

After eliminating all impossibilities, whatever remains, however unbelievable or incredible, is the truth.

So... the Dark Lord is not only not dead, but will also return in the future, bringing war to the wizarding world. At that time, Harry Potter will be needed as a savior to boost the morale of the wizarding world.

Merlin's briefs! So this game has a special storyline like love amidst war?!

Lyra, having deduced the future plot, lay paralyzed on her bed, attempting to summon the long-silent system.

"Tongzi, are you there?"

"Beep—System maintenance and upgrade in progress, please do not disturb."

The next day, while having breakfast in the Great Hall, Lyra, who had been tossing and turning all night, and Harry and Ron, who had spent the night exploring the Forbidden Forest, met, each with huge dark circles under their eyes and looking exhausted. It was hard to say who looked more haggard than the other.

Harry and Ron had a near-death experience last night. Following the clues left by Hagrid, they followed the spiders deep into the Forbidden Forest, only to be surrounded by a group of giant eight-eyed spiders.

The largest and oldest of the eight-eyed giant spiders, Aragog, was secretly kept by Hagrid in the castle when he was in school. He was eventually expelled for illegally keeping this extremely dangerous magical creature.

Through conversation, it was learned that the eight-eyed spiders were not the monsters Slytherin left in the Chamber of Secrets. They didn't have the ability to petrify; they could only cause harm through their silk and giant claws. This meant Hagrid was wrongly accused; he wasn't the heir to the Chamber of Secrets! Furthermore, the victim who was trapped in the lavatory fifty years ago was very likely the poor ghost—Moaning Myrtle—who had been imprisoned there all this time!

After Aragog proved Hagrid's innocence, he planned to have his descendants share Harry and Ron for a delicious midnight snack.

Fortunately, he was eventually rescued by a car that had escaped into the forbidden forest on the eve of the start of the school term, heading towards freedom.

Both of them were internally cursing Hagrid's unreliability, but they still had to grit their teeth and continue to find out the truth, hoping to rescue Hagrid, who was imprisoned, and his petrified classmate as soon as possible.

I'm exhausted, but I have to stay strong.

Leila was also extremely tired. Wasn't it good to have a happy relationship? Wasn't it good to have sweet everyday moments? Why play with this war-torn romance?

At a critical moment, the system pretended to be dead and could not be contacted.

However, during class that morning, something happened that made all the worried underage wizards forget about the terrible attack and the secret chamber heir for the first time in weeks—all the teachers announced to the students that the final exams would be held on June 1st.

There's only one week left until the exam.
