Chapter 101 A World Where Only Ron Was Wounded

Chapter 101 A World Where Only Ron Was Wounded

Lyra, carrying a box of toffee pudding and stuffing her pockets with butter cookies, exuded a rich, sweet aroma as she hummed a tune as she slipped out of the kitchen.

It was already curfew time, but Lyra was not flustered at all, swaggering through the castle in the dead of night—as long as she knew the professors' patrol routes and schedules, a carefree night out was easy.

Of course, this requires a lot of practical experience and the collection of a vast amount of information in the early stages. Finally, through screening, reasoning, and repeated verification, the correct answer can be obtained.

Fortunately, the Marauder's Map in Lyra, George, and Fred's possession proved invaluable; this magical map was practically a cheat code for exploring the castle and aiding in nighttime explorations.

The twins repeatedly expressed their deep admiration for the creators of Marauder's Map, praising them as pioneers of nighttime exploration. They vowed to inherit and carry forward this spirit of adventure.

Lyra thought if you asked Filch, who was always out of breath chasing after the Weasley twins only to find them empty-handed, he would definitely grit his teeth and say this: The Weasley twins are definitely the most troublesome little devils in the history of the school, without a doubt.

Since Lyra unexpectedly gained Filch's favor due to Mrs. Lorris's petrification, she felt too embarrassed to openly break school rules in front of Filch.

However, it's impossible to follow the rules blindly; it's just a matter of doing a better job of preventing and cleaning up violations of school rules in the early stages.

For example, today, Lyra was certain that Filch was giving Mrs. Lorris a bath, given that he had just received a new bottle of bubble pet shampoo, and it was obvious who had given it to him.

Professor Sprout, who is on patrol duty today, usually goes to lock the greenhouse first, and then enters through the side door of the castle to begin his patrol from the top floor—as long as he avoids the corridors leading to the side door, he can rest easy.

"Knight?"

Leila rubbed her eyes, confirming that the large black tail she had just seen belonged to her large black dog, which roamed freely in the Forbidden Forest.

"How did you sneak into the castle? Wait—" Lyra called out to the big dog in surprise, but the dog seemed not to hear her and quickly leaped down the spiral staircase.

"Wait, Knight! Don't run towards the side gate of the castle!" Lyra saw the big dog running towards the direction where Professor Sprout was and hurriedly chased after it, trying to intercept it.

"Come back, Knight!" Lyra called out urgently as she chased after him, but the big dog ran faster and faster.

"Knight—" That stupid dog, it would be terrible if he ran into Professor Sprout!

There weren't any pet dogs as big as bears in the castle; this must be an outside dog that broke in!

But the big dog, which was jumping up and down the stairs, didn't look back at all, and Lyra didn't dare to shout too loudly. After all, she was still out for a night stroll, and if she really called the professor and Filch, she and Knight would be doomed.

Lyra chased him all the way from the castle to the lawn outside, but finally had to stop before she got out of breath.

The bad news was that she couldn't catch up with Knight; four legs are faster than two. The good news was that she was certain the big black dog had left the castle safely and hadn't run into Professor Sprout on patrol.

However, it wouldn't be convenient for her to return to the castle right now. She had missed the time and route for the safe night tour, and she would have to wait at least another half hour to avoid running into Professor Sprout on her way back to the Gryffindor Tower.

Leila thought for a moment and decided to take a walk by the lake, otherwise there would be no point in waiting foolishly at the castle gate for more than half an hour.

"Wang!"

Before Leila even reached the edge of the Black Lake, she heard a cheerful bark, and a swallowtail dog leaped out from beside a tall boy and galloped toward her.

"Bell? Nott?" Lyra looked at the man and dog not far away with surprise. "What are you doing here?"

“If Miss White could feed this little dog every day, perhaps the girls in Slytherin wouldn’t have to fight over feeding it in the common room every day,” Theodore Nott said casually.

"?" Lyra felt overwhelmed by the amount of information contained in that sentence. "Slytherins, every day, vying to be fed?"

“That’s right,” Theodore Nott said, unsurprised by Lyra’s stammering question, kindly puncturing her disbelief. “It’s just like you think. This little dog comes to Slytherin to see me every day, freeloading on food, drink, and lodging. Now the whole of Slytherin considers it my dog.”

"Don't even think about it, Belle is my dog!" Leila quickly picked up the puppy.

"..." Theodore Nott gave his dog friend a deep look, feeling that she was even dumber than during the summer vacation. Perhaps it was because Gryffindors were more likely to infect each other when they gathered together?

Unaware of her tall dog-loving friend's unspoken complaints and prejudice against Gryffindors, Lyra had already begun scolding the dog: "Bell, so you've been eating two meals a day! No wonder you haven't been able to lose weight after all this time—"

“You’re wrong,” Theodore Nott said, calmly adding fuel to the fire for dog training as the dark-haired girl looked at him with confusion. “It’s several meals. It gets fed by several Slytherin girls every day, and then it gets a midnight snack in my dorm room.”

"..." Lyra was speechless, choked by the sad truth. She stared at the puppy's chubby, round body, recalling how its little belly had jiggled as it happily ran towards her. She gritted her teeth and said, "I have to lose weight! I must lose weight!"

"Nott, you'll keep an eye on it too!"

*

Ever since discovering the truth behind her dog's failed weight loss attempt, Leila has taken the dog with her everywhere she goes to watch over it.

Then—she discovered that the puppy and Hermione's cat had a terrible relationship, so bad that they fought in public in the Gryffindor common room.

On Crook Mountain's brilliant ginger-yellow fur, a bald patch appeared—from a dog bite.

Bell has a deep cut on its left front paw—scratched by a cat.

“Poor Bell, how much pain it must be in with such a deep cut—” Lyra said to Hermione while holding the puppy.

“Crooked Mountain must be very sad too, with such a big bald patch on its back—” Hermione said, hugging the cat, not to be outdone.

"Krookshan is a big cat, yet it still lay a hand on a tiny puppy like Bell—"

"Bell struck first—"

"Lyla, ignore Hermione, she thinks other people's pets don't matter!" Ron and Harry were coming down the stairs when they saw Lyla and Hermione arguing over their pets. They immediately sided with Lyla without even asking what had happened.

“That cat just likes to bully other pets, Harry saw it too, don’t you agree, Harry—Harry?” Ron wanted to drag Harry into denouncing Hermione’s cat, but when he turned around, he found that Harry, who had just been next to him, was gone.

"Shut up!" Lyra and Hermione yelled at Ron at the same time.

Lyra and Hermione weren't actually angry; they were just jokingly defending their pet.

As a result, Ron immediately took sides, even though he and Hermione were good friends, he was always holding a grudge because the cat caught his mouse.

“Ignore that idiot Ron. Let’s go,” Lyra saw Hermione’s eyes well up with tears because of Ron’s words, so she quickly pushed Ron away and put her arm around Hermione. “Let’s go see Madam Pomfrey. She can definitely cure these two fighting little rascals in a second.”

Ron was yelled at by both girls, and he shrank back in humiliation, feeling utterly bewildered.

They were arguing one second, but the next second they were united against each other (yelling at him) and made up instantly. Why are girls so unreasonable?

"My poor little brother—"

"Always so clueless—"

Fred and George, who had been hiding to the side and wisely avoided getting involved in the girls' "war," witnessed Ron's embarrassing moment and sighed as they put their arms around Ron's neck.

"Let's just enjoy eating candy with my brothers."

“Get away, I won’t eat your prank candy—” Ron struggled desperately, but he was no match for his two tall and strong brothers and was forced to swallow a bright yellow candy.

With a thud, a canary appeared on the spot, but its feathers were a bit off, and the size was obviously uneven.

"Chirp!"

"Oh, it seems our 23rd experiment has failed again—"

"Chirp!"

"Let's try talking to Ron again once we've finished version 24—"

"Choo Choo Choo!"
