Chapter 107 A Day Cursed by Merlin
Chapter 107 A Day Cursed by Merlin
Although the young master Platinum was secretly clamoring to buy Madam Patiffe's Tea House, he had more important things to do at the moment—following the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff social group, ready to extinguish any sparks of romance that might arise.
Fortunately, Draco Malfoy knew he was secretly following them this time, so he managed to conceal his presence. He followed the group of happy, laughing teenagers from a distance, and when he saw the black-haired girl talking and laughing with others, he secretly clenched his fists instead of going up to her and losing his temper.
Lyra and her friends had no idea that behind them was the Slytherin spendthrift who had spent a fortune in Galleons to book the tea house but hadn't even gone in for a single cup of tea. They had decided to visit Honeydukes, Hogsmeade's most popular shop, to try the latest sweets and pick out some candy gift sets to give to family and friends at Christmas.
Honeydukes was already packed with people. With Christmas approaching, the shrewd owner seized the opportunity to launch a limited-edition holiday candy gift box, which was specially divided into limited edition and regular editions. All of them were shiny and eye-catching, trying to rob all the students of Hogwarts of their wallets.
In fact, the shrewd boss did reap a great harvest: the shiny, regular holiday limited edition candies swept up the lower grade students with little pocket money and students from ordinary families.
Meanwhile, the more luxurious and limited-edition holiday candy gift boxes are a huge hit among wealthy young nobles.
"Sold out?!" Daphne watched in disbelief as the Honey Duke shop assistant gave her a very apologetic look.
Daphne came here today specifically to buy Christmas limited edition candies for her sister Astoria, but who knew that the deluxe limited edition Christmas candy gift box would sell out so quickly?
Astoria was the youngest daughter of the Greengrass family. She was frail and sickly from a young age, so she was inevitably spoiled at home. As the eldest daughter, Daphne always fulfilled Astoria's every wish, let alone something as small as Christmas candy.
Daphne frowned at the thought of the disappointment that might appear on her younger sister's face.
"I should have just ordered by mail. It's so crowded here..." Pansy complained incessantly, but everyone knew that whenever Draco came to Hogsmeade, she would definitely come here to squeeze into the crowd.
"Speaking of which, where did Draco go?"
Blaise listened to Pansy's question but smiled without saying a word.
Standing by the window, he saw Lyra and her group heading towards Honeydukes Candy Shop. He knew that Draco had successfully ruined Lady Patif's tea party, and that his "casual" reminder to Draco last night had not been in vain.
As for where Draco is now... I believe that as soon as Lyra steps into this store, Pansy should be able to see Draco as she wishes.
"Look! New Christmas limited edition candies!" As soon as Aria entered, she was attracted by the golden display stand in the center, where shiny candy gift boxes were piled high, all the way to the ceiling—unlimited supply of regular Christmas candy gift boxes.
Pansy and Daphne watched as a group of Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs walked in, chattering amongst themselves, and gave a disdainful snort.
"Do you like it? Maybe we can exchange Christmas presents?" the Hufflepuff boys enthusiastically suggested, and the Gryffindor girls readily agreed.
Cedric picked up a candy box, smiling as he prepared to say something to Lyra—
“Who would buy this kind of ordinary candy gift box? It has no taste at all,” Pansy couldn’t help but mock.
"Boss, I'll take them all!" A familiar, arrogant voice rang out from behind everyone.
"Malfoy?!" Angelina and Arya exclaimed in unison, their faces dark with surprise. Was this damned Slytherin ghost haunting them? Why was he causing trouble wherever they went?
"..." Pansy and Daphne were also surprised by the young master's actions, but Pansy quickly cheered up.
"Draco must be trying to annoy these annoying Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs!" Pansy naturally imagined, following Draco's usual style.
"You did this on purpose, didn't you?" Angelina glared at Draco Malfoy, who was directing the shop assistants to pack all the Christmas candy boxes.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” the platinum-haired young master said slowly. “I suppose your imaginations are limited by poverty; you have no idea how much pocket money a Malfoy family heir actually receives…”
Blaise stood comfortably in the corner, watching with amusement as his platinum roommate angered everyone present except Slytherin with his own abilities.
He seemed oblivious to all the noise around him, and even when the girl with black hair and gray eyes glanced at him, he gave her a pure and innocent smile on her rose-like face.
"..." If Lyra still couldn't guess who was influencing that persistent platinum-haired young master, then, as Professor Snape said, she was actually wearing a monstrous head on her neck.

I must have been cursed by Merlin today; it's practically a sign that I shouldn't go out.
After a difficult journey, Lyra and her companions left Honey Duke with the candy they had bought, only to encounter the red-haired twins at the Literati Residence.
Lyra seriously suspected that her encounter with the two red-haired, freckled creatures was artificially created; just look at the suspicious smiles on their faces!
"Merlin's briefs, what a coincidence!" Fred exaggeratedly stepped forward and put his arm around Cedric's shoulder.
"It's so good to see you—" George patted Cedric's back enthusiastically, though it seemed a little too hard.
The Gryffindor girls fell silent.
Fortunately, Cedric, or rather all the Hufflepuffs, were good-natured and greeted the twins, making the scene appear harmonious. Anyone who didn't know better would think they had a very good relationship.
“If Wood saw this, he’d definitely suspect his precious batter and Hufflepuff’s captain of colluding with each other…” Angelina whispered to her two roommates.
"Fred? George?" Wood, the Quidditch captain, walked into the Literati House carrying newly bought gloves, looking at the Weasley twins, who were behaving like brothers with the Hufflepuff captain.
“…Angie, you do have a bit of a prophetic talent.” Lyra and Aria sighed and rubbed their foreheads.
"Angelina? Aria?"
After Wood noticed his two batters and the Hufflepuff captain with their arms around each other, he soon discovered that his two chasers were also standing next to the Hufflepuff boys, looking very close and natural.
Great, the Gryffindor team has seven players in total, and most of their best members are here, and they're so friendly and close with Hufflepuff, who just beat Gryffindor.
Looking at Wood's increasingly out-of-control facial expressions, Lyra felt that Wood was about to have a heart attack on the spot.
