Chapter 127 The Best Way to Celebrate
Chapter 127 The Best Way to Celebrate
Hermione was terrified: "Bringing the executioner to Hogwarts directly sounds like the outcome has already been decided!"
Harry didn't say anything, but his expression was grim.
Ron was already angrily waving the thick stack of documents in his hand and roaring.
"They can't do that! We've put in so much effort, found so many cases, we can't let it all go to waste!"
"No wonder Malfoy has been so smug lately; he must have known all along that Hagrid's appeal would also fail!"
Leila didn't say anything, but she was already silently calculating the time in her mind: the 6th was the day the exams ended, and the students who had just finished the exams would definitely be discussing their scores and relaxing and celebrating.
It shouldn't be too difficult to sneak over to Hagrid's hut and quietly let Buckbeak go.
But if the hippogriff escapes, Hagrid will undoubtedly be the first suspect. The difficulty lies in how to clear Hagrid of suspicion.
Hagrid needs a perfect alibi.
Leila's eyes darted around, her expression thoughtful.
While Harry, Lyra, and the others were still worrying, Lyra had already made up her mind and didn't intend to tell them that the terrible fugitive Sirius Black, who had broken into the boys' dormitory and was chasing Harry, hadn't been caught yet. The three of them should just stay in the castle and prepare for their final exams!
Lyra, thinking she had thought things through, waved goodbye to Harry and the other two, then skipped back to their dorm, completely unaware that she had forgotten Hermione's utterly unreasonable exam schedule.

No matter how unwilling the students in the castle were, the final day still arrived.
Leila and her classmates no longer have any new homework after class, and all class time is spent reviewing the questions the professors think are most likely to appear.
The examiners for the OWL exams are directly appointed by the Wizarding Examinations Authority. The Hogwarts professors cannot determine who the examiners will be each year or which students they prefer to give extra points to. They can only make the fifth-year students practice the key knowledge in the textbooks again and again.
But Professor Lupin once called Lyra aside after class and reminded her that if she could demonstrate the Patronus Charm to the examiners, she would have a great chance of getting extra points.
Lyra immediately shared the good news with Fred and George, and the three of them decided to set aside several practice sessions before the exam to ensure they could cast the complete Guardian Charm during the exam and strive for an O grade.
"There will be at least one O!"
"That way, Mom might not be too angry when she sees the other failed subjects—"
It's hard to say whether these two red-haired, freckled figures were truly filial to Mrs. Weasley, who was worried about her children's exam results.
With their guaranteed grades secured, Fred and George seemed to have finally broken free of their last constraint. Leveraging their keen market sense, they launched a thriving black market trade among fifth and seventh graders struggling with exam pressure.
The twins could procure all sorts of alchemical gadgets to boost exam luck, energizing Buffet potion, and memory-enhancing dragon claw powder, as long as someone placed an order. They even created prank candies that could cause nosebleeds and vomiting, giving students who wanted to skip class a chance to catch their breath.
Automatic answer quills, memory balls, detachable clip-on cuffs, and automatic error-correcting ink—these cheating products were selling like hotcakes. Hermione shrieked every time that these junk items couldn't be brought into the exam hall, but people still took their chances.
“Cheating will be punished severely! And all your exam results will be canceled!” Hermione said with a dark face.
"Oh, little Hermione, don't be so serious," Fred said with a grin, leaning closer.
“People are just looking for a glimmer of hope,” George tried to confuse the issue. “You know, sometimes people just want to do something to fool themselves and make themselves feel better.”
It wasn't until Hermione threatened to tell Professor McGonagall that Fred and George cut off the business line.
But the Weasley twins' reputation for a reliable black market business was firmly established.
Lyra felt that if an anonymous vote were held now, Fred and George would be the most popular characters in all of Hogwarts.
Finally, exam week began. Regardless of their year, everyone was making the most of every minute to study. Hermione even studied at the dinner table, her textbook never leaving her hands. Inspired by her, many others started studying while eating, such as practicing spells using condiment bottles on the table.
"Spare this poor salt shaker, Angelina." Lyra looked at the salt shaker, which was twitching repeatedly due to the spell, and couldn't help but twitch her eyelids as well.
"What does a twitching left eye mean?" Arya glanced at Lyra and began anxiously flipping through her divination notes.
Lyra: "..."
Fortunately, this ordeal is finally coming to an end.
Today is the last day of exam week. The fifth graders' last exam is on potions, which will last a full hour and a half and will cover the topic of remedies.
With ten minutes left in the exam, green steam was constantly gushing from Lee Jordan's cauldron next to Lyra, but the correct potion should have emitted a faint, silvery-white vapor.
Angelina was diagonally in front of Lyra, sweating profusely with anxiety. Her potion wasn't finished yet, but the flames under the cauldron were growing weaker and weaker, and could go out at any moment. She had to keep an eye on the flames while continuing to stir the cauldron.
Fred next to Angelina looked much more relaxed.
But what was coming out of his crucible were clumps of milky white gas, which looked quite different from silvery white.
Lyra glanced quickly at George's crucible; he was much better off than her twin brother, as his crucible contained only silvery-white steam.
Lyra breathed a sigh of relief. As long as the examiners were lenient, the two redheads' potion scores shouldn't be too bad.
Merlin, thank goodness! Thank goodness Professor Snape wasn't the examiner! After all, Professor Snape never showed mercy.
As Lyra imagined what Professor Snape's face would look like with Professor Sprout's kind and gentle smile, she extinguished the fire in her cauldron, poured a perfect sample of the soothing agent into a crystal bottle, and carefully labeled it with her name.
After handing in her crystal bottle, Lyra turned around and quickly exchanged glances with Fred and George as she walked out of the exam room. They were also labeling their crystal bottles with their names.
"Great, it's all within the planned timeframe," Leila clenched her fist excitedly.
Next, it's time to sneak off to Hagrid's cabin.
For the three of them, the best way to celebrate the end of the OWL exams was to stage a spectacular but unknown raid on the execution ground.
