Chapter 141 The Twins' OWL Report Card
Chapter 141 The Twins' OWL Report Card
The day Lyra arrived at the Burrow was the same day her OWL results arrived.
The last day of July was Harry's birthday. Lyra had received an invitation well in advance. Since the fireplace in the Muggle hotel where she was staying wasn't connected to the Floo Network, she moved into the Weasleys' house with her luggage, ready to go to Harry's birthday party with Fred and George.
Hermione arrived a day earlier than Lyra; as one of Harry's best friends, she had also received an invitation in advance.
“Harry said Sirius and Professor Lupin built a new house near Hogsmeade, with white walls and a red roof, it’s gorgeous,” Hermione said. “Harry wrote to Ron and me the very day Sirius and Professor Lupin brought him home. He’s so happy to have his own room, you know, before, Harry’s aunt and uncle weren’t very nice to him, they’re all Muggles and prejudiced against magic…”
“Harry said the room Sirius prepared for him was filled with toys and all sorts of interesting things, and there was even a wall covered with shelves specifically for displaying flying brooms!” Ron’s tone was filled with envy. “If Harry hadn’t strongly refused, Sirius originally planned to buy all the top-notch flying brooms on the market!”
“Firebolt is good enough for Harry, isn’t it?” Hermione disagreed. “Sirius spoils Harry way too much. I know Sirius wants to make it up to Harry; he loves Harry very much, but his methods are too much…”
“I think Sirius is great. He just wants to give Harry the best of everything,” Ron said, clearly favoring Sirius. “Who wouldn’t want a godfather like Sirius?”
“But he spends money too extravagantly! And he has absolutely no bottom line or restraint when it comes to Harry, which is not a good thing,” Hermione criticized. Seeing Ron’s unconvinced look, she directly used her trump card, “Even Mrs. Weasley doesn’t approve of Sirius’s approach!”
"..."
Lyra didn't want to get involved in Hermione and Ron's debate; the two of them lived in their own little world, and it was best for outsiders not to get involved.
She quietly picked up a plate of Mrs. Weasley's homemade cream toffee and ran out into the yard to watch Fred and George clean up the goblins.
Lately, Fred and George have been either locked in their room researching new products or trying their best to act well-behaved and clever, hoping that Mrs. Weasley will give them a proper burial after receiving their report cards, given their recent good behavior.
Lyra had already seen Fred and George helping to carry plates and get condiment bottles at the dinner table. After the meal, without waiting for Mrs. Weasley's instructions, the two of them took the initiative to clean up the goblins and weeds in the yard.
“We were going to borrow Percy’s wand to cast an owl-repelling charm on the house,” Fred said, “but he was too vigilant.”
“And Percy has started working now,” George continued, “the Department of International Magical Cooperation. He goes to the Ministry of Magic with his dad every day, and after get off work he locks himself in his room writing reports, about things like cauldron thickness. He’s so arrogant at home all day long. If you didn’t know better, you’d think he was the Minister of Magic!”
“Only Mom buys into Percy’s act,” Fred said indignantly. “Percy got into the Ministry of Magic, Percy has a bright future, Percy this, Percy that—Percy is Mom’s role model son. Now Mom uses Percy as an example to criticize us all the time—”
Leila imagined the scenario the twins described and couldn't help but shudder. It was terrifying. Luckily, the system had assigned her the identity of an orphan.
"I wish the grades were released after the start of the semester—" George sighed.
“We kept the windows open every day, hoping to be the first in the family to spot the school owl, so we could maybe sneak a peek at the report card when Mom wasn’t looking,” Fred said.
“If you ask me, it would be better to receive the report cards sooner, so you two don’t have to worry about them every day,” Leila said. “It’s better to get a scolding sooner…”
Before Lyra could finish speaking, she saw three owls carrying large square envelopes flying toward the Burrow—clearly, the school's owls were delivering their three OWL report cards!
Merlin's stinky socks!
Fred and George looked at Lyra with a mournful expression; this girl must have some talent for jinxing things!
"Mom! An owl is coming!"
Lyra heard Ron loudly announcing something to Mrs. Weasley from the window, completely unaware that her twin brother was glaring at her menacingly.
Lyra felt there was a reason why Fred and George often teased Ron and bullied their little brother; the boy was just too clueless.
Leila wasn't nervous at first. She didn't have parents watching her report card like a hawk, nor did she need to worry about whether her grades would affect her graduation and job search. But the atmosphere in the room was extremely tense, making her hands and feet feel weak and her heart race as she opened the report card.
Ordinary Wizard Level Exam Results

Lyra White's scores are as follows:
Astronomy: O
Charmsology: O
Defense Against the Dark Arts: O
Potions: O
Divination: O
Herbalism: O
Transfiguration: O
History of Magic: A
Lyra looked at it twice, and Hermione, seeing her relaxed expression, curiously came closer.
"Seven O's! That's amazing, Lyra!" Hermione exclaimed, but with a hint of regret. "If you had worked a little harder on your History of Magic, you could have gotten a full report card. You were so close to getting all O's!"
“Come on, Hermione, that’s already amazing,” Ron leaned over for a look. “That’s more than George and Fred combined!”
Oh, right, Fred and George!
Leila quickly went over and exchanged report cards with the twins.
A quick glance revealed an O amidst the sea of Ps, and Lyra breathed a sigh of relief.
Fred got an O in Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration; an E in Divination and Potions; and a P in everything else.
George got an O in Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Potions; an E in Transfiguration and Divination; and a P for the rest.
Mrs. Weasley had already taken the twins' report cards from Lyra, her face ashen.
"What's this about herbalism?" Lyra asked George in a low voice. The three of them often went to the Forbidden Forest to gather herbs, and they were actually quite good at both practice and theory. "You two could clearly get an E?"
“I fell asleep during the exam, and I guess Fred did too,” George replied in a whisper. “We were busy tallying up the sales figures for the canary cookies the night before…”
As Mrs. Weasley silently read the report card, no one in the room dared to utter a sound; even Ron quietly stood behind the chair furthest from Mrs. Weasley.
