Chapter 192 The Shattered Boys' Dormitory

Chapter 192 The Shattered Boys' Dormitory

The house-elf Toto huddled in a corner, shivering, one hand tightly covering his mouth, while the other hand used household magic to clean up the mess in the boys' dormitory.

If Hermione saw its pitiful, teary-eyed appearance, she would surely condemn the culprit with righteous indignation.

Unfortunately, the two boys in the dorm were completely unmoved by the house-elf. No, one of the taller, dark-skinned boys did do something—Bress had just firmly ordered the elf to be quiet, which stopped it from crying out and banging its head against the wall in apology.

Another platinum-haired boy sat expressionlessly on a single sofa. Apart from the sofa beneath him, which was intact, everything else in the room looked as if it had been attacked by a tearing spell, falling into pieces.

This was originally a beautiful boys' dormitory: a very spacious circular room with two carved beds with four pillars, dark green flannel curtains hanging down, a set of ivory furniture, and large transparent floor-to-ceiling windows. Standing at the window, one could have a clear view of the entire Black Lake bottom—undoubtedly the best dormitory in all of Slytherin.

But now, Breszabini could only glance at the shards of glass with a hint of heartache.

These fragments originally belonged to a magnificent, diamond-encrusted magic dressing mirror, a gift from his mother, who would sing praises of young master Zabini's radiant beauty to him every morning in the melody of a sonnet. Now, however, they have been brutally smashed to pieces.

The murderer was undoubtedly his good friend and only roommate, young Master Malfoy. Blaise sighed. If he hadn't witnessed Draco's ordeal in the hallway, he would definitely be speaking up for his beloved full-length mirror.

Half an hour earlier, Draco Malfoy and his roommate Blaise were walking through the corridor leading to the Quidditch pitch when they came across a group of Gryffindor girls. Surrounded in the middle was a girl with black hair and gray eyes that both of them knew very well.

"Lyra, you'll definitely be going to Hogsmeade with Cedric tomorrow, right?"

"Of course, Arya. You should be asking whether Lyra would say yes if Cedric confessed his feelings on their date tomorrow—"

Draco, who had already had a big argument with Lyra over Cedric Diggory, stopped in his tracks upon hearing this conversation, his body stiffening as he stood in the middle of the corridor.

Lyra had already spotted the two Slytherin boys passing by.

The platinum-haired girl walked past her with a cold face and her head held high, as if looking at them, these Gryffindor girls, would offend her eyes. She seemed to intend to never see them again and had reverted to her former pure-blood demeanor.

Meanwhile, a tall boy with chocolate skin winked at her with his long, narrow, golden-brown eyes, seemingly apologizing for his companion's rudeness.

“I’ll consider it. After all, I have no reason not to agree, right?” Lyra stared at the platinum-blonde head that was frozen in the middle of the corridor without turning around, and deliberately said loudly, “I mean, I don’t have a boyfriend right now anyway, so it’s normal to date.”

The girls left laughing and joking, unaware that the platinum-haired boy's fingers were clenched tightly in his palms, blood dripping from his fingers onto the corridor floor, except for his only companion beside him.
