Ron said.
"Help me find that guy."
The man stared at Ron in surprise. He already knew from their previous conversation that someone had been hiding in the shadows, constantly observing Ron and the girl's movements, and creating many strange phenomena.
He shook his head and said.
"The person you're talking about is very powerful; I'm no match for him at all."
Ron said.
"You just need to find him, and I'll take care of the rest."
But the man still refused. The only reason he stayed was because he valued his life very much. If he tried to get involved now, he would likely be killed by the other party. He refused no matter what.
Ron said.
"Don't take this opportunity for granted. It's your only chance. Otherwise, you'll be working for us and you'll have to deal with him too."
Just as the man was struggling with his decision, Ron suddenly heard some light footsteps outside. He was surprised, as this place was very secluded. Who would suddenly come here?
He glanced at the girl, who immediately walked towards that spot. Suddenly, she smelled an extremely strong stench of blood.
The girl's expression changed drastically, and he quickly turned back to Ron and said.
"There seem to be some very strange things outside. Could they be Blood Demons again?"
The girl had encountered the Blood Demon after smelling blood earlier, which made her have a strong aversion to the smell of blood.
Ron immediately stepped forward; he too could smell the blood.
The person next to him said.
"This smell doesn't seem like that of a Blood Demon, but it does seem a bit strange. Ordinary people can't emit such a smell."
Ron asked in a low voice.
"Did you release that blood demon?"
But to my surprise, the man still shook his head and said...
"No."
Ron was taken aback. He hadn't asked before because he had always assumed that Blood Demon could do it, but he hadn't expected that the other party would deny it.
"Who else could it be but you? You were the only one there at the time."
The man shook his head and said.
"That's a lie. I saw someone else trying to attack you from the shadows, but after you killed the Blood Demon, that person seemed to disappear?"
Ron was taken aback and quickly asked.
"What does that person look like?"
As they were talking, the noise outside grew louder and louder, and Ron immediately became alert. He quietly approached the door, but he could feel the smell of blood wafting in. Ron felt that the smell of blood was completely different from what he had felt before.
The stench of blood didn't seem to have the same power to uplift his spirits as before. Just as Ron was about to rush out, a huge claw suddenly reached in from the outside.
As the claws appeared, the head of an eagle emerged, resembling a giant beast, but it exuded a strong smell of blood.
Ron quickly retreated, and the girl's eyes widened when she saw what was happening.
"What kind of creature is this? I've never seen one before."
The person next to him was also surprised; they hadn't expected the smell of blood to be coming from this guy.
"Quick, let's get out of here. This thing doesn't look like it'll be easy to walk on."
After he finished speaking, he turned to leave, and Ron followed closely behind him. The three of them immediately ran forward, but the huge monster flapped its wings and rushed towards them at high speed.
Ron was puzzled; he had never seen such a monster before, yet it was here.
The man looked very nervous. He seemed to know why the other man had grabbed him. "Tell me honestly what you did."
The man looked at Ron helplessly.
“I did nothing, this has nothing to do with me.”
The monsters behind them were getting faster and faster. Although the three of them were running, they were clearly no match for the monsters.
Soon they could sense the monster getting closer and closer, the girl whispered.
"What should we do now? Are we just going to keep running like this? And it seems like there's a dead end ahead, we can't escape at all."
Ron looked up and saw that the road ahead was indeed blocked by rocks.
With a deafening roar, the monster opened its mouth wide, spewing forth a torrent of flames that surged towards Ron.
Although Ron was very fast, he could feel a heat wave coming from behind him. Since he couldn't dodge it, he had no choice but to fight. Ron suddenly came to his senses and charged towards the monster.
The girl's eyes widened; she hadn't expected Ron to rush over at this moment. She exclaimed loudly.
"Quick, stop it!"
But at this moment, Ron, filled with rage, had already arrived in front of the monster. Ron could feel the energy within his body surging wildly, and in that instant, he felt as if he had suddenly changed.
The girl wanted to summon the curses to help Ron, but she suddenly found that her summoning ability had failed here, as some energy nearby was blocking her information.
Ron charged forward, punching the monster relentlessly. Sparks flew from the monster's body as Ron struck, but the attacks had no effect on it.
Ron was very surprised, not expecting that the monster's defense was so amazing.
With a loud bang, Ron staggered back several steps. He looked at the monster again, still shocked by the power it had just unleashed.
The girl immediately came to Ron and asked him with concern.
"How are you doing?"
Ron shook his head and looked at the monster.
"This guy is thick-skinned and tough; it's impossible to break through his defenses."
Just then, Ron suddenly felt the temperature in the entire area rise sharply, perhaps caused by the flames erupting from the monster.
But Ron could sense another kind of energy, which was slowly extending in this direction.
32, Make a move
Ron's expression changed slightly. He could sense that this energy was somewhat different from what he had imagined. Just then, a tremendous force suddenly attacked them.
Ron tried to resist, but the force sent him flying, and he crashed heavily to the ground once again.
The girl and the person next to her were about to step forward to help Ron up when they sensed that the energy around them had changed once again.
The monster suddenly stopped, and a figure appeared behind her. When the girl saw the figure, she suddenly felt a familiar aura, and she stared at the figure in surprise.
Although I couldn't see the other person's face clearly, I could sense that the energy emanating from them was terrifying.
"who are you?"
The girl asked angrily.
The figure revealed a smile.
"You've been searching all this time, and you still don't recognize me?"
The girl's heart sank to the bottom.
"Are you the one who created the corpses?"
The man burst into laughter.
"Yes, it's me."
The girl asked angrily.
"What exactly do you want? Why did you kill so many people?"
The man's tone became very serious.
"This matter itself has nothing to do with you. The reason I killed so many people is because I need their lives to refine my soul. I didn't expect you to go out of your way and meddle in this."
Ron felt a churning sensation inside him, and it took him a great deal of effort to stand up.
The other person looked at Ron and the girl with a smile.
"But I have to admire you guys, you really have some skills, you almost managed to find me."
Ron touched the blood on the corner of his mouth.
"I didn't expect you to come out on your own. This time, I won't let you leave so easily."
The man said with a smile.
"That's utter nonsense. Do you really think you can stop me with your strength? If that were the case, I wouldn't be here."
Ron was about to walk up when the girl stopped him.
"How do you feel now?"
Ron said.
"Although it doesn't feel good, taking down this guy is still more than enough."
As he spoke, energy began to circulate within his body.
