Harry saw Darren freeze in place again.

night.

Mr. Weasley is back. Darren's potion was very useful.

They kept thanking Darren at the dinner table. But Harry noticed that Darren wasn't happy. He was always spacing out and lost in thought.

Darren is now somewhat depressed, just like Black. Harry knows why Black is depressed.

Blake simply missed them, and he wanted to work openly for the Order of the Phoenix, rather than staying here guarding this decaying house.

But he didn't know the reason for Darren's depression.

But he was filled with hatred and suspicion that it must have something to do with Snape!

Chapter 573 I Can't Help Him!!

The next morning.

Harry and his friends, escorted by Lupin and Tonks, prepared to board the Knight Bus and leave.

He tried to avoid eye contact with Blake, thinking that this would allow him to ignore the melancholy in Blake's eyes.

But he clearly failed. He met Blake's gaze.

Blake hesitated for a moment, but still took a package out of his pocket.

He lowered his head and whispered, "If Snape bullies you, or if he bullies Darren, open it."

That way I'll know about those things. Keep this safe and don't let anyone else know.

Well, don't let Darren know either. I doubt he'd approve of me giving you this, because it might affect your studies.

And he doesn't like to tattle..."

Black hesitated for a moment, then whispered in Harry's ear, "Darren has likely been bullied by Snape for an entire semester. You must keep a close eye on him."

His condition is terrible. Yesterday at the meeting, Dumbledore examined his Occlumency and said he hasn't had a proper rest in a long time. Aside from the time you took him to the infirmary, he almost always suffers from insomnia and nightmares.

Harry's heart clenched.

How could he not know Darren's situation? He did know, but he couldn't do anything to improve it.

So he looked at Black and quickly asked, "Then even Dumbledore can't help him?"

"Yes, Dumbledore couldn't help him either, and Snape said a lot of sarcastic things."

I suspect that Darren's recurring nightmares are partly due to his condition!

"But if Snape were to bully Darren, wouldn't Dumbledore be able to detect it with Legilimency?"

"Oh no, Harry, Snape was best at Occlumency."

He has also done a lot of research on memory, and we have always suspected that he can keep some of his memories hidden from others.

He might have used the same method on Darren.

I've always suspected that he never truly pledged allegiance to us; he merely fooled Dumbledore!

Sirius said sadly. Harry felt a wave of nausea. He believed him.

He even felt that Darren had suffered greatly in front of Snape. Darren had told him that.

Darren said that Snape had said bad things about him and Dumbledore, which made him very uncomfortable.

But at that time, he didn't care at all.

Isn't it just saying bad things about him and Dumbledore? Isn't that a common occurrence?

He never considered how Snape would insult Darren after speaking ill of him and Dumbledore.

He nodded sadly.

He said he would definitely keep a close eye on Darren next semester.

He wanted to ask something else when he heard Mrs. Weasley calling. The Knight Bus had arrived.

"Kids, hurry up and get on the bus, don't delay!"

Mr. Weasley put all the suitcases on it.

Lupin pulled Harry over and pushed him into the carriage. Harry noticed Darren.

Darren was being pulled along by Tonks.

Tonks whispered something to him, and Darren looked guilty. Harry immediately perked up his ears.

He moved over there quietly and heard Tonks saying to Darren, “Severus doesn’t seem like that kind of person either. I think you might be mistaken. Besides, Dumbledore is at school!”

Don't be afraid!

Fear? Darren was even afraid? Harry was even angrier.

He even wanted those people to use their brains and think carefully; anything that could scare Darren must be something terrifying.

How could they not take it to heart?

Do they really like Darren as much as they seem to? Harry was angrily pulled into the car by Lupin.

Without even noticing, Tonks winked at Darren, then kissed him on the cheek and whispered, "Harry believes it!"

It's definitely impossible to hold a DA event on the first day of school after Christmas.

Harry was going to Snape's office to get his potion, while Darren was called away by Dumbledore to discuss something.

Six p.m.

Darren arrived outside Dumbledore's office.

When the two ugly stone statues saw him, they moved their bodies away.

"Please come in, Dumbledore has informed you of your arrival."

"thank you all."

Darren smiled.

Dumbledore's office was bustling.

There are many portraits of school principals here, chatting amongst themselves.

After seeing Darren come in...

They immediately started jeering, saying, "See? This is the Darren I told you, he can't act at all, he even drove Dumbledore crazy!"

Phineas laughed loudly.

Darren really wants to paint a portrait. He's faking it, but is he a good actor?

He's an incredibly talented actor! But he can't say that.

He could only put on an embarrassed and guilty expression and say, "I'm sorry, I really made Headmaster Dumbledore and the others break down. I didn't expect that I would be so...so infuriating."

[Ding, Fatherhood Value +100]

"No, Darren, I'm actually quite happy to know that you can't act at all."

This means you are the most upright wizard, unmatched by anyone!

Dumbledore praised with a smile.

Darren quickly gave an embarrassed smile.

“How could I possibly be a righteous wizard? I’ve also felt jealousy, I’ve also hesitated, and I even wanted to run away with my brother before…”

[Ding, Father Value +100] Dumbledore shook his head in disapproval.

"It is precisely because you have experienced these pains and fears that you prove Darren to be a respectable wizard."

Everyone has this feeling, and everyone will back down.

When I saw members of the Order of the Phoenix getting into trouble, I hesitated and doubted whether I should continue.

But overcome it!

Darren, overcoming these difficulties and fears will only make you greater.

And I can't say I did any better than you!

Dumbledore praised him enthusiastically.

But when he noticed that Darren still looked unconvinced, he could only shake his head helplessly.

This child is good in every other way, but he is always a little insecure.

It must be because he was always bullied and scolded in the orphanage that he developed such an inferiority complex.

Of course, Dumbledore didn't intend to correct Darren's character right now, because that's not something that can be done overnight.

He must get back to the point.

Then he became serious and looked at Darren, saying, "Well then, child, I think we should try Legilimency again today. Concentrate and block me, seal your memories... Legilimency!"

[Ding, the system has detected that the host is being subjected to Legilimency. Do you wish to falsify memories?]
