Hogwarts: I've acquired the Father System

Conte's pranks did have some benefits after all.

At the very least, they completely realized my stupidity, and some even became too lazy to talk to me.

I stayed in the manor, but few people even thought of me.

Fortunately, I have no problem with food and drink.

My allowance has never been reduced.

My house-elves even took me out to buy clothes.

They would never allow me, their future marriage partner, to appear in front of outsiders dressed in rags.

I think I should thank them for this.

After all, many of these pretty dresses are styles I've never seen before in my past life.

It should be unique to the wizarding world.

I quite like it.

For the entire summer vacation, I tried my best to practice the Water Mist Spell at home.

Try to create a layer of mist in front of your eyes; this will effectively prevent the basilisk from looking directly into them.

Although the school made us sign a consent form for not practicing magic during the summer vacation, it was clear that in a wizard's home, this was all supervised by the parents.

My parents certainly couldn't supervise me. I practiced day and night.

I'm terrified of dying at school next year.

I think this is a very dangerous year.

After all, it's an animal, and even Darren probably couldn't control it. It all depends on who controls that snake.

I thought about it with frustration.

The closer it gets to the start of school, the more nervous I become.

In August, Dad brought home some news: Nicolas Flamel reportedly wanted to take Darren Porter as his apprentice.

Listening to my dad marveling at Darren Porter's good luck, I kept thinking about why he wanted to cultivate a good relationship with Nicolas Flamel.

Could it be that he also wants to live forever? I can't figure it out.

But then I thought that with Nicolas Flamel's help, it might be more helpful in defeating Voldemort in the future.

Hope so!

I followed up on the matter and discovered that my father knew even more, so I immersed myself back in practicing the Water Mist Spell.

It's worth mentioning that Mom is pregnant again.

Conte was not very happy.

He disliked the baby still in his mother's womb because he felt he was receiving less affection.

I could hear my parents comforting him.

I made a silly face while rolling my eyes.

Of course, I still had a bit of wishful thinking.

I hope that Conte and this unborn child will perish together.

I admit I'm vicious.

But there's nothing I can do; I don't believe that families like this can raise better children.

Unfortunately, I can only dream about it.

I'm a complete outsider here.

I'd better practice my spells properly.

Although I can now place the Water Mist Spell on my eyes, some of it is still visible, and I'm trying to find a way to cover up the imperfection.

After all, if people knew that I was using the Water Mist Spell to cover my eyes, I would definitely be suspected.

Unfortunately, even though school was about to start, I still couldn't do that.

this day.

My parents are taking me and Conte to Diagon Alley to buy things.

I don't really want to go, but they won't listen.

So I could only pretend to be timid and follow behind them.

Actually, they didn't really want to take me with them, but I was going to be married off in the future, so they had to dress me up nicely so they could package me up and sell me off.

So I could only obediently follow behind them.

We went to Diagon Alley.

Diagon Alley is really lively.

I also heard people talking about Lockhart's new book signing event today.

I tightened my grip on my hands, which were tucked inside my sleeves.

This is yet another day that triggers the plot.

If I had known, I would never have come today.

Unfortunately, I'm already here.

I could only keep moving forward.

I lowered my head, looking foolish, and even Conte didn't want to say a word to me.

Mom and Dad arrived at Flourish Bookstore.

There's an argument going on there.

I saw Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Weasley fighting.

Harry and his friends are fighting with Draco.

The parents stared at Lucius in shock.

They seemed unable to imagine that the noble Malfoy would fight like a Muggle.

Finally, Darren came over.

He grabbed one person with each hand.

He pulled Mr. Malfoy and Mr. Weasley apart.

I saw the smugness in Mr. Weasley's eyes, and I also saw the satisfaction in Lucius's eyes...

Wait, why would D.S. feel relieved?

I almost thought I was seeing things, but when I saw Draco Malfoy, he seemed to be giving Darren a smug and happy look.

That’s not right!

Malfoy, have you got a brain?! They're lifting your dad up, aren't they?!

I really wanted to tell him that, but I knew I couldn't say anything.

I can't even let people know how perceptive I am.

So, like the other wizards watching, I foolishly said, "Wow, Darren Porter is so strong, does he have giant blood?"

I overheard Conte secretly calling me an idiot.

so what.

Nobody knows the big secret hidden in the heart of this fool.

No, except for Darren Porter!

I looked at Darren with a complicated expression.

I don't know if he actually confirmed my identity.

Also, did he really get cursed with the Crucifixion Curse at the end of last semester? I honestly don't believe he would suffer that much.

But I actually went to see it for myself, and that's how miserable he really was.

But as a protagonist with a cheat ability, even if he can't dominate the battlefield, can't he even escape the Cruciatus Curse?

Chapter 803 Extra Chapter—Speculation on the Golden Finger!

Although I had many guesses about Darren, I didn't say or ask anything.

I watched them leave, and then bought books with my parents.

Then we went and bought a flying broom for Conte.

He had heard that Darren and Harry both owned brooms, so he thought he could join the Quidditch team in his first year.

I think he's delusional, but I didn't say anything.
